Suggestions for good nursing drug book

I am just starting a nursing refresher course. My drug book is outdated from 2001. I liked the one I had from Springhouse. But, I would just like to get opinions from others on what their favorite drug guides are.

If you have some kind of connected digital device like a blackberry, an iPhone or such I would go with something digital. Those are updated continuously and never out of date. A book is out of date the day it goes to print, which could be months before it actually hits the store. Beyond that at our facility have an online reference on every PC in the hospital.

That said if I were to buy a book I would go with Nursing (insert year) as my choice. But like I said a lot of frequently prescribed drugs I see are not in it.

We use the Davis Drug Guide for our nursing program, it is pretty well organized. I wish I had the money to invest in a PDA and software though.

I like Davis. I also have Intravenous Medications, by Gahart. I like them both, and have both hard copies and copies on my PDA.

I've found the Davis Drug Guide for Nurses to be the best.

Ditto to Davis's Drug Guide for nurses. I find the layout works well for me, and it also has pronounciations for each med.
