Hey guys, this is a silly question I know.

I keep seeing these horribly oversized scrubs or uncomfortable fitting ones. I wanted to know if there was a brand that had some kinda tailored, formed look.

Not to sound vain or anything but something that doesn't make me look fat? :lol2: If I am talking to a patient and feel like im in a ballon gown it will make me laugh a bit at myself.

I am a skinny guy. The scrubs that I have been looking at are all huge on me! vertically they are fine, but horizontally o_O its like wearing a trash bag around myself. I am 6'1 and 150lb so you get the idea :monkeydance:

hi! my fiance prefers dickie's brand cargo pants. he's about your size. they actually fit surprisingly well.

i like dickies myself. pretty flattering for skinny ladies too.

Have you tried painters pants and shirts? They aren't exactly scrubs, but they last forever and a day and have pockets and belt loops etc. Go on the dickies site and look. Another site is Aramark they make uniforms for job sites, painters etc, they don't do nurses-yet- but they do fill orders very quickly.

I will look into the dickies! Thanks!

Also try Crest and Cherokee.

And, If you can't find any that work for you, might try a local seamstress to sew you custom uniforms. I had a guy that I worked with and he didn't like the available prints and sizes. He picked out his own fabric. He said that it really didn't cost that much more than buying quality scrubs. Worth a shot.

If you have no luck anywhere else, you might give Sassy Scrubs a try.

An Asian-American nurse at a hospital that my stepdad stayed at, sewed her *own* scrubs.

The top was a tunic, with Mandarin style collar and Chinese side closures. The top and pants were solid colored, and matched.

The look was very professional, nonetheless, it was a great look, too.

Edited to say:

it wasn't the "Asiana" style which is a regular v-neck. This was a high collar.

I love love love Dickies! It's all I wear!

Be glad you aren't a female. I've had patients who thought I was pregnant just because I had on a loose scrub top.

You have to be Asian to wear that style?
