Why do some people view other peoples messages, but they never respond to them. Just wondering is it because the topics are boring or simply not enofe time to type a response?:(

Yes that helps I wish more people where like you. It seems like everybody takes things personally. I don't ask trivia questions.

Haven't you also read threads that you have not responded to?

Same reason. =0)

:rotfl:

OK...you got us. It's a conspiracy. We all call each other and say, "Hey, go view "So-and-So's" post, but don't respond to it!

Do you read everything in the library? I didn't say you "had" to respond. I just wanted to know some of the reasons why people don't respond okay so I wish people would quit blowing s**t out of proportion!!!!!

Maybe some people aren't responding to your threads because of the consistently hostile tone of your posts. Just a thought.

Why in the world are you so angry? You are being very judgemental. You have received some nice responses here. Lighten up. My goodness.

And a good one at that.

I like to read some of the threads just to learn more about specific areas of nursing. I am still in school so I don't know much about the nursing part yet. I have learned soooooooooo many terms and other stuff just from reading posts on here. Plus I don't respond to too many cause I like to write P*NIS WAAYYYY too much....lol.

I assume you're wondering why the "views" of a post are always greater than it's "replies?" There are numerous reasons.

I may not have anything to add.

It may be a discussion I have something to add to, but think better of it (heated topics).

It may not be what I thought it was from the title.

The title may be ambiguous, and I have to view it just to tell what it is, and then for reasons listed above I decide not to respond.

I may view it and decide I don't have enough time to respond in a manner I'd like, so I come back later.

And sometimes, those views are people coming back to a thread, to see how it has progressed or what has happened, whether they replied already or not.

Does that answer your question?

I often read posts and do not respond because I don't have anything intelligent to add. After taking care of two toddlers and going to school all day sometimes the only thought in my head is "blah blah blah". I would rather read and keep that kinda comment to myself. Other times I may respond if something gets me fired up, or is amusing. Sometimes I may hold back comment for fear of being flamed too! But mostly I'm a "lurker".

Wow. You wasted even more time typing a response!

OK, Baby Girl and Heather - I apologize if you read my post wrong. I was in no way being negative or trying to upset anyone!

My point was that I really like the messages that have a title so I know if I'm interested or not. I have a REALLY SLOW computer so it takes a lot of time to open a page. I love reading everyone's posts, but say if someone wants to know a "technical" thing, then I know I don't know the answer because I will not start school till the fall, so I don't open it.

And Baby Girl - I was TRYING to be SUPPORTIVE of your original question and then you get all nasty to me! Heather, I have loved reading your posts in other threads and thought you were a lot nicer than this.

It is a shame how people will put in type what they would never say to your face. Again, I apologize and will try to select my words more carefully in future. :sniff:

You obviously haven't read all of my posts, and you obviously haven't met me.
