    Me.......about a 7.5..... I suppose.

    work on a medical step-down ICU unit (5yrs now)

    I really love what I do and am very good at it. But there is so much room for improvement on the unit that would make it more pleasant. I keep telling myself that I can make a difference. (been offered a "position" on the floor to start this OCT.) I think that is why I stay, to try to make it better for the employee's and Patients most of all. My normal co-workers are GREAT also.
    And no, the grass isn't always greener on the other side..I don't have to leave my floor to know that

    Like hospital work, like making my own schedule
    Tired of bureaucracy, tired of pt families whining, tired of being short staffed and having to beat the pharmacy to death to bring up meds.
    Basically, I'm in a state of wishing my fairy godmother would come and give me a freaking fortune so I could quit work. I think I would hold my license and keep up with things, but would not work again as a full time permanant thing.
