How might the nurse misdiagnose or misperceive "Disturbed Thought Processes" becuase of cultural differences?

Some cultures have expected behaviors (in response to situations) that others might consider unusual, and might label as "disturbed thought processes."

I bet you can find such things online if you do a websearch....I'm not going to give you any examples....

The nurse might ask a woman to make some decision about her care. The woman may seem very indecisive and unable to reach a conclusion. The reason may be tht the husband is the decision maker in the family. When the husband arrives, the Decisional Conflict ("problem") may disappear.

You might want to do research in how different cultures show grief. What might look like disturbed thought proccess might be expected in some cultures.

You also might want to research a particular cultures response to being ill, how they perceive their illness, traditional medicines etc.

There may also be some frustration due to language barriers-they may be frightened because they cannot communicate their illness.
