Anyone in Tennessee???

Nurses General Nursing

Just wondering if there were any nurses or nursing students here from Tennessee? Thanks, Sandy.

Hey nursbee04, what town do you live in? just wandering. Hissy

Sorry if I offended anyone. I am also from Tennessee and I thought it was cute.

Y'all are making me so homesick my heart hurts! I was born in Memphis, raised in Jackson, and most recently lived in Franklin. Those of you in the area, do you know the O'More School of Design? Great, beautiful school- I graduated from there with a degree in Interior Design and immediately decided that I wanted to do something that mattered much more to the human race than installing French drain systems. I have been imprisoned here in New Mexico for 6 years, and reading all of your posts has made me even more determined to get home. A Tennessee Allnurse get-together is a great idea!!!!!

I was so glad to read all of your posts- you are giving me great ideas of where to work when I finally get back home.

Go Vols! Burn Opry Mills! Send me some country ham!

:imbar I was probably being a little sensitive, myself, MRed94. I see so many of these things floating around in cyberspace that I have grown weary of them, especially when my non-Southern friends share them with me.

Please forgive my outburst and, if possible, join us this spring in Tennessee!

ditto what Joy said....I get tired of the ribbing I take from non southerners going back to my early 20s when my ex was in the army and we were living in germany, and met some folks from california and I swear they looked to see if we were wearing shoes when we said we were from tenn

HEY SANDY IM IN LEWISBURG TENNESSEE IM ABOUT 45 MINUTES SOUTH OF NASHVILLE :)

Well, thought I'd write since I will be moving to Nashville next Friday...

First I have to get through 3 finals, then I pack and drive down the following day (from New York)...

Got into nursing school for this January and am so overwhelmed already! In addition to moving there, I have to buy all the books ahead of time and begin reading. I've also been advised to purchase shoes, uniform, and stethescope... no idea where or which to buy though. :)

I guess it'll all come together when school starts but I'm so anxious/excited/nervous.

Happy Holidays,

Spec

I also live in Tn. I did the LPN thing first because of children and finances and then after a year I took the challenge test and it tested me out of 15 hours and it only left me with 11 hours to finish my RN.

Actually i will be moving to nashville early next year, would like to sooner but $$$ is a needed thing first. Looking at murfreesboro and other areas. I am from a union hosp. and am kind of nervous about the hospitals, i would normally look for a magnet or a union but i dont think there are any, SO anyone know of a nurse freindly facility i should look at, i need 12's . . . hard to come by where i am now, but especially so far from my family with my kids they are a must when i move. I cant wait to come down ! !

MTSU is Middle Tennessee State University. They do have a BSN program. So does TSU (Tennessee State University). Both are reasonably priced. It just depends on which one will mesh better with your prereqs & which one you can get into sooner.

Good luck in your decision-making process!

I live in a tiny town in southern, middle Tennessee. We are moving to Murfreesboro when I graduate (120 days:D ). DH works in Smyrna and I hope to work either in Murfreesboro or Nashville.

I HATE OPRY MILLS!!! I wish we still had Opryland.
