Anyone in Tennessee???

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Just wondering if there were any nurses or nursing students here from Tennessee? Thanks, Sandy.

Spent most of my life in Memphis and graduated ADN program there before moving to Texas 5 yr ago. Now in grad school and working in 450 bed hospital. Going to Memphis TODAY to see grandbaby and Pandas! Miss the music but Texas is a country all its own. Miss Nashville too. Used to travel there a lot.

Hi all! I'm from Cleveland, just about 15 min from chattanooga for me. I'm in the process of trying to find somewhere to work that will work with my school schedule this fall, so I may be in chattanooga or a surrounding town before too long.

Highasthesky... you live in Westmoreland, how long have you lived there. I live in Castalian Springs, about 10 min from Westmoreland.

I am an RN and I work in Labor and Delivery and love it, I work nights though, which I don't like. I work in Gallatin, which is about 30 miles north of Nashville. It is nice to see all you volunteers here, GO UT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I think that my SIL used to work @ your facility back in '99. She left just prior to her EDD. Gallatin is a lovely town. I stayed there for a week while taking a lay midwifery class. Do you know if the lay midwife is still there? She was a very good teacher.

One of my friends was raised in Castalian Springs. Her mother still lives there. She lives in Nashville. We attended Lipscomb together (many, many years ago).

Go vols!

I do not think the lay midwife is still in Gallatin. I don't know about lay midwifes, trained midwifes ok, but I didn't know her at all, so I don't know how she was, but we did ocassionally get patients from her. Anyway.... where do you work now??

Are you currently working as a nurse? I went to TSU with a gal who'd just finished her nursing degree & began working as a nurse while starting the PA program at Trevecca. A good program from what I hear. Good luck to you in your studies!

My uncle graduated the PA program at Trevecca many years ago and has been teaching some of the Radiology program at Trevecca.

I live in East TN, about half way between Chattanooga and Knoxville. I work at a hospital in Knoxville.
