I know I know go see the DOC right, well I am a little scared to do that. I have been SOB on occasion and I noticed when I am walking around I am getting blueness in my thumb nails. I know that sounds weird ,well at least it sounds weird to me. My resting pulse is usually around 79-80. I am very lg. My blood pressure is usually 150/80. Dr has said BP is not a big deal. I also have a hernia that I am totally ignoring right now. What do you think? I know we don't dx but would you be concerned? PM me if you don't want to respond online.

Thanks everyone

I know I'm a train wreck. I honestly was hoping to get through nursing school before I feel totally apart but I am not sure that is going to happen.

Just a little more reinforcement. Go to the doctor!! Ignoring the problem will not solve a thing. Its best to know what it is that ails you so that you can be treated. Honey, you don't have to be a wreck and school will always be there. Take care of yourself!! (and let us know) Feel Better!!

Several issues here. #1. Find a new doctor -- you're overweight and have hypertension -- this needs to be followed up. #2. Short of breath/hypoxia. You need to go to a great doctor NOW. Do not put nursing school before your health. Good luck ... good health ... now call the doctor!

Hon, I feel for you. I've just been down this road. Had real bad chest pain while I was in nursing school, and after I graduated. I was afraid it was heart disease. I tried to tough it out too, but it just got to be too much. Ask the folks here on the BB, they'll tell you. It turns out it was asthma which I keep under control with meds. So PLEASE get checked out now. It could be devastating if you don't. Keep us posted. WW.

Yes, please get checked out now. You can put your nursing career on hold, but you can't put your health on hold. I had to take two semesters off from nursing school cause I was sick, but now I am graduating in May. It's best they diagnose you now and not later and yes I agree that you shouldhave your BP reviewed again, cause 150 is a high systolic BP, it should be under 140 for anyone. Good luck!

Hey everyone, thanks so much for all the care and concern. I have been DX with high BP 150/86 not too great. They took blood to check blood gases, anemia and thyroid. I will get those back either Monday or Tuesday. I feel better now. I am on HTCZ.

Thanks again for the kick in the pants!

Edited to add that he also thinks I may have GERD. Hey what's one more thing! uggg. So he recommended that I take tums when i feel the pain, if that doesn't work to try something like mylanta, or pepcid.
