One of my coworkers put a sign on my back with that on it. I tried to keep a good sense of humor about it and laugh. But after everyone, including family members, and the supervisor laughed at me, I didn't think if twas funny.

Just in case you didn't know, and in good fun you like to do such things to your coworkers. 1) They really don't think it's funny & 2) It's unprofessional.

Yes, I think I've decided I'm going to quit.

Um, yeah, that was funny......when I was in third freakin' grade. Boy, the wit, the charm....I'm totally UNDERwhelmed.....:stone If you weren't feelin' done already, I'd say that would be a good note to exit on. People suck.

Well, someone on night shift did that to one of MY co-workers but the sign said "KISS ME!" We gave him hugs instead and didn't let him leave the station before he found it, no families or supervisors were involved, but his feelings were hurt anyway.

I'm sorry this happened. Not only were these juveniles, but they were also mean and spiteful and nasty people for doing this. You don't deserve this treatment my friend; get out of that toxic workplace fast.

3rdshiftguy this was a very immature stunt. but have you done anything that may have provoked their childess behavior? not that that makes it right they should be professionals at all times and suppor heir coworkers. But i was just wondering what lead up to it.

I've been wondering myself. "What is my part in this dysfunctional family". Perhaps I did deserve it. But it's still childish in my opinion.

I'm processing and trying to learn from this. I wouldn't want to make the same mistakes somewhere else.

I guess, I've put so much blood, sweat and tears into this job, to be so disrepected hurts a little. I'm sure they meant no harm though.

I don't know what good message they could have meant by this.... I know you need to "let it go and carry on"

But how can you trust these people to "have your back" when they are so busy jumping on it??

It's hard to leave a job with so much invested in it... sometimes you need to compare the assets to the losses and see which way the scale tips..

I hope you will find a place that deserves you. you are better than those whom you work with.

lots of support

I encourage you to find a job where your team members act like professionals and show consideration for others, but before you go, tape a sign on HIS back. I'm suggesting

"I'm an as*hole",

but you can pick whatever you feel is most appropriate. ;>) I can almost assure you that people will laugh. Or at least you will, which, honestly, is all that matters, right? ;>P

I agree w/Research Rabbit....behavior like this is started in school and it's the prevailing attitude that "boys will be boys" (or some facsimile of that) that makes this so wrong. Bullying at ANY level should NOT be tolerated, much less encouraged. WRONG IS WRONG at ANY age. Whether in 3rd grade, high school or with "supposed adults". I am disgusted that so-called professionals would engage in such behavior. I would not work with such people.

NO NO NO ...no-one deserves a joke like that "played" on them..it was not funny,no matter what you feel you did or did not do. I always tell my kids "it is not a joke if everyone is not laughing." PUHLEESE tell these dorks that the stunt shows how intelligent they all are(not). I wouldn't even give them high marks for imagination ...a two year old has more sense than these nincompoops do. I swear it is so much easier to be friendly to everyone but never best friends with anyone at work...you end up spending more hours in a day with co-workers, with all kinds of personalities, than you do with your own family. We should all be respectful of one another.... Your family you love unconditionaly and can forgive...others aren't so easy to forgive..

P.S--my children informed me the other day a dork is a whale's member....are they pulling my leg or is this true??

This is true. I've heard it on one of the news channels.

Then I stand behind my statement that 3rdshiftguy's co-workers are dorks...:zzzzz
