Hello I was wondering if anyone else applied for fall 2019?

Well we've made it a month with no response what's three more weeks. Just think about it in three more weeks we will be getting life changing news!! Next week is spring break so that should fly by and before we know it the emails will be sent out.

I hope they go by fast & that they don’t mess up or find it complicated since everything is changing too. Yes i work at a school district we have 2 weeks off so hopefully that will help and 1 week off from school. Ive been praying so much part of me can’t help but Plan thinking we will get a chance at least an interview fingers crossed. Maybe it’s not that a lot of ppl applied they prob get the same number, it’s the fact that now they have to look more cautiously at every application. If it was hard to choose who will get an interview before I imagine now it’s even harder to decide who should receive immediate acceptance and who gets the chance at an interview. In my head we are all at the same level most will apply if they have descent scores so..:/ its more competitive

Also I’ve read other posts Even from last semester and ppl with stats similar to us or even lower got in ? idk what to think

One of the schools in the Houston area does that as well. The applicants get three emails, either and automatic acceptance, and email to interview or a denial email. They base their automatic acceptance on the TEAS (its another exam way harder than the HESI) and GPA scores. All other candidates receive an interview or a denial. Since going this route they've had to changed their deadline to give them ample time to go through all the applicants. What makes me eager to receive an email is the fact that it can honestly go any way. They look at so many aspects so just because I have a 3.4 GPA and a 86 on the Hesi and 6 years work experience in the medical field does not mean I will get accepted, they can easily accept someone with higher stats or lower stats than mine that meets other requirements that they are looking for.

I had to take the TEAS too for utep and another college I actually thought it was wayyy easier than the Hesi, maybe it different depending on the college like the HESI? And I know that’s why I also get nervous I feel like nothing garuntees your spot. I’m anxious since I retook my patho class and scored low the first time, a C, retook it now I have an A but my first attempt was a nursing level patho not the regular one everyone takes so I’m thinking what if they think I’m not ready bcuz of that class ? everyone else takes the second one I took in less your in a nursing program like utep

Yes I guess it depends what school you take the exam for. I took it while I was attending TWU and it was not an easy exam. I took the hesi and thought it was a breeze compared to the TEAS. It shouldn't count against you. Also its not like you failed the class you obtained a C. A C is still a passing grade. I'm sure they will see that the patho class you originally took was nursing level patho. I didn't know that there was two different patho options. I took Patho a TWU hopefully it meets the requirements.

Oh no don’t worry your patho counts Texas tech requieres you to get the regular one. The ones that require you to get the nursing level one Are utep. They don’t allow you to transfer any Patho class from anywhere you have to take it with them and you need to apply and rank in order to be able to take it. That’s why I’m nervous although the patho is part of phase 2 which is a level before phase 3( technically phase 3 is when your in the program already which you have to apply again and rank) it still count as a nursing level. I had to take intro to nursing, pharmacology, and pathophysiology. I think the only ones that have that level pathl is utep there’s only one professor for it. ? Texas tech took that one they allowed me to buy i retook it again although it was the regular one this time.

I got told that admission commitees will make final decision by end of this week. I'm not sure whether they will send out emails on this Friday. But we will see. ;) Good luck to everyone.

Omg when did you call? Oh god I’m nervous now idk either does that mean they will send em out his Friday? I mean if they will make a decision this week why wait another week to send out emails? This just got me nervous ? I was like I don’t have to worry til another week...but then again things are different this semester so who knows they might decide to send emails Monday

Funny thing is I was just thinking about this on my way to work. All I was thinking to myself was I don't have to be a nervous wreck until next week, next week will be the last Friday in March and that's when you'll find out. lol Well if they have final decisions by the end of this week maybe we won't find out until next week.

Lol same here I’m still on spring break well utep spring break is rn and I work at a school district so they gave us 2 weeks this is my last but I was so confident thinking I don’t have to worry til I go back to work and school -.- tbh I’ll wait until any of you girls post you got an email lol I really hope and pray at least a chance to an interview and that these changes are to benefit us! Some of us can benefit from an interview bcuz you get to prove your ready and put a face to your app and explain why some grades aren’t the best!

The interview process was one of the many reasons why I applied. I love the fact that you are not just viewed by your application you are also given an opportunity to meet with them in person and so they have a face along with the application. I'll be calling tomorrow just to get some information and see what they say. I'm sure they will still send out emails on Friday, but I just want to know if we should expect something this Friday or next.
