  1. Thank you for responding! My program is 16 months long. Yes I think I would might not be able to go those days and tbh id rather be well rested if anything id probably just do cardio since I also incorporate HIIT every other day so I’m ok doing that those days, I just have no idea at all how many times a week does one have clinicals up to now they have only given us our lecture times. I guess I’m not so worried about how I look but bcuz working out to me didn’t start as a “i want to look good or loose weight”(nothing wrong with that) i was referred to it by my therapist since I suffer from anxiety. I’ve managed to keep my anxiety controlled for the past 7 yrs bcuz i work out. If I don’t workout for more than 2 days I notice I start getting in a bad mood and very anxious I see it as my outlet where I get to relax and give myself time attention. I guess I’m mostly afraid of becoming too anxious so I’m ok with sacrificing days (ex clinical days or week of exams) as long as I get some time to workout . My friend said it’s all about time management? For her working out was not a priority. Also my bf n i workout together so it be like spending some time together and getting my workout in. I’m mostly confused since I don’t know how schedules look like at ABSN programs
  2. Hello I just got admitted into a Accelerated program at Texas tech El Paso and I’m excited yet very nervous. I want to know if there’s any of you out there who have been able to balance working out and school. I’m very dedicated to working out have donde so for the past 8 yrs i workout everyday for about an 1 hr n 1/2 or less, I lift weights and I’m very healthy it’s a routine I’ve had forever and I also have a trainer(send me my routines) for the past 3 yrs who has just made my progress amazing. I also have a bf who is just as into working out as me( met him at the gym) and have been together for the past 7 yrs. my question is am I able to workout at least 5 days a week for at least 1hr or 1 hr 1/2? Is it possible to keep working out during an ABSN program? I have no kids and won’t be working and live with my parents but can spend the night at my bfs also he live like 3 min away from the gym. Also at least maybe half and afternoon or day to spend with my bf or fam? What was your experience? Similar to mine? Thank you in advance!!!
  3. Guys I don’t have a fb so I’m hoping one of you can see it...does anyone already figured out the health insurance? ? I don’t qualify from work and idk of my only option is third Texas tech since I’ve always had some affordable health insurance
  4. Did any none receive a code to be able to register into the eraider account?
  5. @jpenk10 also I volunteer at the hospital which is infront of TT and there’s some apartments right lnfront of Texas tech there’s current availability for 1 bedroom apartments
  6. I believe you can take it online at texastech but you need to inform yourself. I actually checked for you rn at epcc for the summer there was an online class but it is closed already it’s full, there’s two more classes one with salas there is 6 seats left and classes with him fill up sooooo quickly since he is so nice and works so well with students give you study guides that if you study you will get an A in the exam. There’s another class that one has 33 seats left but doesn’t have a professors name. If I were you I’d register at epcc ASAP and keep checking some ppl sometimes don’t pay and a seat opens and you can switch your class. I took patho at utep and they don’t offer online and you have to be part of the nursing program i don’t know if there’s another patho available. Those are basically the only options in ep i would register asap
  7. @Hannananana hopefully I can keep updated does everyone join it or what is it for? I made a commitment not to have social media and specially during nursing school I was in a first semester of nursing school at utep and quickly realized social media took away from my studying but that’s just me I tend to get lost in it for long periods ? so I don’t want to be distracted at all found my self looking at it even when I deleted the apps ? so I deleted everything! Hopefully i don’t miss a lot lol so if anything I will prob ask through here, but anyway can’t wait to see what the next steps are did anyone receive another email apart from the receipt after accepting placement??
  8. @tthope20 lol no worries no i was in the spring thankfully i can’t imagine taking it in the summer! And yes I’ll ask just in case i mean I think it shouldn’t since i already have and I’m assuming they took the other I have into my stats since all pre requisites are completed and it won’t affect my gpa if I drop it I’ve just spend so much money but you never know. And that’s in part why I wanna drop them too so I can just work and rest lol
  9. Since they didn’t offer online in the summer or maybe if they did it was prob already full since I was stuck with the last seat
  10. @tthope20 take it at epcc over the summer! I took it there with a lady at rio grande and it was soooooo extremely easy but register fast since they fill up so quickly I was able to get a seat bcuz someone didn’t pay in time otherwise I would t be able to
  11. @tthope20 Omg I took it at utep too!! And omg your right that class was extremely difficult and I too was going through a difficult situation but was not able to get a medical withdrawal in time I have a friend in the program already that says that class was more difficult than the ones she took once in the program, but I’m so glad too I’m accepted here now! I’m excited as well I had a question so I finished all my pre requisites but this semesters o decided to retake a&p bcuz if I didn’t make it to tt I was gonna try epcc and they required for me to have an A in a&p as I had a B...I want to drop it or do you guys think it will affect me? I also take Med term but now it got me thinking since I pay out of pocket for both classes, a person told me why not save the money instead for Nursing school. I have a payment plan that’s why
  12. Actually it’s not, or depends who you take it with I guess but over all it will help you tons!! I took it there, you can’t take it at utep bcuz it’s part of the nursing program so you can do so at epcc I will say though if you plan to take it register ASAP bcuz patho classes fill up quickly especially in summer I couldn’t take it last summer for that same reason..I took it in person last semester and I have no classes left to take, just make sure you have your pre requisites in time and remember to resend your transcripts...Hannananana me too!! I woke up in the morning and read the email again lol I’ve read it like 20 times ? and sorry guys I don’t have social media lol I’m young but I don’t like having it at all ? well, we will still meet! So excited for all of us!
  13. Yes so what I was told is some ppl might need interviews I think it might me those who the committee were boderline Undecided of. past semesters ppl needed aall to interview but due to changes this semester they can accept ppl automatically. We have acceptance and as long as you meet all requisites like the ones Hannanna mentioned. So don’t miss them and try doing it ASAP!
