Hello all,
Anyone who has applied to el centro nursing program for spring 08...has anyone gotten an acceptance letter yet???
Let me know what info you have...thanks
my e-mail attempts have been unsuccessful/unanswered as usual. (2 weeks and still waiting for a response). I did get her e-mail yesterday about starting the background chk and the drug test date. I'm thinking that the shoes should be fine, if not, I'll try to come up with a back up plan between now and then.As far as the health insurance goes, it's in the application packet I know for sure. It just states that ....

I've been shopping around for insurance plans since I no longer work full time and no longer qualify for insurance through them and haven't been too successful. COBRA is absolutely outrageous and I'm running out of ideas. Just wanted to check and see if anyone else was having any luck. I don't qualify for my parents insurance due to age and I'm single so I don't have a spouse's plan to hop on. Now that I re-read what it states, it seems as though it isn't mandatory. I guess I'll be making a trip up to ECC when the campus opens....grrrrrrr.:angryfire
Just to let you know, I will be entering my fourth semester and I have never been asked for proof of health insurance, although I remember them also mentioning this to us first semester. Come to think of it, I don't know anyone who has been asked to provide this. I also know if you join the SNA they have info about an inexpensive health insurance plans. I wouldn't let this concern you too much.
Hello,
Well I called Karona today and she said they have not made any final decisions for Late Apps into Spring. She did say that since they did not get an overabundant of applications that she will be sending out emails.
Now I will live on my email till I hear. Can everybody hear my fingers drumming and feet tapping. I am waiting patiently.lol

My GPA was 3.4 on the. Plus I have 9 supporting hours completed. It is not as high as I would like it, but I am not going to repeat classes. If it came down to it, I would apply to Brookhaven, that does not base entrance on GPA. I did very well on the HESI exam. Thanks
Billie
Before I had posted the above info, I should have read back through. I am very sorry for the grammatical mistakes.
I am still waiting to hear. I hope I hear before the weekend. I am so nervous, just wondering and waiting. School starts back in 10days. We would have to register, buy our books, orientation etc.

My wife has a 3.86 average. She has had to repeat a class or two to better her grade. She also has all of her support classes completed except Micro. She is hoping to get a slot into Northlake since its less than 5 miles to school. I sure wish they would hurry up and make a decision. It doesnt leave much time to get everything all squared away before school starts.
