Just wondering if you guys had any ideas for fundraisers for our class. We are holding our first meeting next week, and we (the officers) thought it would be a good idea to have some ideas before we opened it up for the whole class at once (hoping for a little more organization) LOL We have thought about baskets, themed through out the year toward Christmas, Easter, Valentines, etc. Maybe a bake sale, but really, what nursing student REALLY has time to bake? My kids are lucky to get a hot dog and canned mac & cheese!! Anyway, just looking for some input. Thanks!!!

What about tee shirts? There are many places online where you can get tees printed in bulk fairly inexpensively, then sell them at a slightly higher cost.
Or you could have a raffle and raffle off things like a massage gift certificate, cinema gift certificate, books related to nursing (but fun to read, not studying type books) etc.
Maybe a cookbook? Have everyone bring in favorite recipes, get them printed up, and sell them? Everyone could use another cookbook in my opinion, I've got tons of them and love getting more as gifts!

Our Tee shirts and sweat shirts has our school's name on it. It made it really special for us because my nursing program is closing next year.

I, too, think a cookbook might be a pretty good idea....that is, if you have some folks in your class that know how to cook:lol2: .... or can at least contribute "borrowed" recipes Our class just collects a few $$$ dues every month, funds going to whever we, as a class, decide is appropriate.
No time for sales, for me :)

We tried a cookbook and I sent in about 10 recipes. Can you believe I was the only one? It did take me a long time to copy them and ns are always pressed for time. Our bake sales always did well. Candy sales are good as long as you don't have to pay for them in advance. We also did baskets and scrubs.

mom and me candles in somerset, ky has a great fundraiser program. you get half of the sell which isn't like other fundraisers - such as, if you sell a candle for $6, they get three and you get three. they also have a fundaiser with melting tarts.
they are the best candles i have ever had and they will work with you and your group. it's a family store and they have been in business for over 10 years.

Ebay garage sale? Donations to sell on Ebay? with a nice full-class pic and a short paragraph about being nursing students and the pinning ceremony and what left-over funds might be used for?

Our school had a casino night! It was a blast, had a huge turn out and was a nice way to get away from it all for one night.
