how many months are you into your first year as a new RN?

(the date you passed boards, and the months you are working at your brand new first RN job)

11/19/07 - 4 months- pediatrics :yeah:

Passed NCLEX on August 15, 2007.

6 months working in a Burn ICU and loving it!

Specializes in Med/Surg ICU, NICU.

Started as a GN in a Med/Surg ICU 03/02/2008

Passed NCLEX 04/15/2008 :D

I am loving every minute of my new career I just wonder what took me so long to do it. :bugeyes:

I have been a RN for 9 months Oncology Med/surg

Specializes in ICU, Telemetry, neuro,research.

graduated w/bsn 8/04. passed the boards 11/01/04. started first job: 01/06/05. graduated with ms 08/06 .so that makes 40 months and every day is a new adventrure. it is always new if you remember every day why we started this and look for opportunity to learn and wonder why and how.

1/21/08 Med/surg/peds and still feel I don't know much! LOL

Specializes in Lactation Ed, Pp, MS, Hospice, Agency.

Grad:08/26/06

Licensed: 12/06/06

1st day of working: 04/17/07

Job: Med-Surg/Tele Staff RN

So, that officially makes it 12 months for me into this adventure called nursing. :nurse: Some days I wonder why I ever did this to myself, & other days I ask myself why it took me so dang long to do it!

Got my sit pass and ATT and started working in the tele floor I'm in now: 3/01/08

Passed boards: 4/21/08 :D

So, I've been working as an RN for about 4 days, and as GN for about 4 months. :chuckle
