how many months are you into your first year as a new RN?
(the date you passed boards, and the months you are working at your brand new first RN job)

10/1/07 (the day I started work, I forget when I passed boards): 6 months Medical ICU yay us!!!

I passed the boards on June 22, 2007...so 10 months of being an RN.
But I've only been working as an RN for 8 months.

Passed boards 2-4-08, started my first job as an RN on 2-11-08, so I'm 2 months in!

Took the boards July 13th and passed... started my job July 23rd on a Med-Surg floor.... quit mid March (about 8 months in)... and I just started my new job last week on a progressive cardiac unit!

been working over 3 months now, but just under 2 months officially as an rn!

i graduated on 5-17-07. i started orientation the next day. june 12 i passed the boards and began working as an rn june 14th. i have ben working as an rn for 10 months in ltc. i adore geriatrics.
as you can see by my signature line my 1st and only (so far) grand daugher was born the same day i took the nclex. i made it back to the hosptial in time for the pushing.

congrats!!! and good luck to you working on your own. i am going to start patient care this week and am having a hard time imagining me by myself at this point.....
