Full length modest scrub skirts

Nurses Uniform/Gear

I've recently become Pentecostal, and I've been looking for full length scrub skirts with no slits. I've found the butter soft skirt on uniform advantage, but they've run out of white and they said they didn't have a definitive date of when they would restock. I've also been looking at white swan fundamentals skirt, but I don't know how long it would be on me (I'm 5'5" and 300 pounds, so I think I would need a 3x or 4x). I've made my own skirt for work, but it definitely looks sad and home made :scrying:! I'd prefer a full length skirt, but mid calf might work as well. I don't know what my school may require yet (I still need to get approval to wear the skirts at school).

Also, has anybody had an issue with getting schools to approve skirts instead of slacks as a uniform? I wore slack for the first year, but I've converted during summer break!:x3: Hopefully there's no issue.

I got the ok from school to do skirts :)

I've made them before. I have my one skirt for work, but I really wanted an ankle length skirt and it's so hard to convert pants to an ankle length skirt, and I don't really know how to hand stitch an entire skirt myself. Butter Soft isn't make white full length skirts anymore. :(

great news, i contacted uniform advantage which does the buttersoft brand, and that ankle length skirt will probably be available in white again in August !!! yea

Thanks! I see that they are offering a small white already, so it's only a matter of time till they get to my size!

i love these skirts, i have one in white, navy , royal, kakhie, gun metal gray and black, i prefer the white and look forward to the larges back in stock..... they advised to check often

I am glad to know there is a company that makes long scrub skirts. When I was looking for them, all I could find was knee length or just below (which is why I ended up using the other ones in the link I posted).

I use these skirts. They work very well. You can customize the length and add pockets. They come in regular and plus size.

Long skirt twill with no slit

I have never been given a problem about wearing skirts from any employer.

I decided to buy this brand in white 37" with pockets. I haven't received it yet (I got sick of waiting for UA to get the white and I need my skirt before August, but I did buy the hunter green from them for work and it's gorgeous). Does this skirt look and feel like scrubs or is it just like a regular white skirt? Will people notice that this isn't a "scrub skirt"? I guess I should have asked before I ordered!

If there is a difference between scrub material and the material these skirts are made of, it is very hard to tell. My last job required my skirts to be made of scrub material, and they never had a problem with these skirts.

Where does the skirt fall on you?

I've been thinking of trying these skirts out, but I am afraid they will be too long on me. I am 5' 4". I wish they came in different lengths. Surely they realize we are not all the same height and one length does not fit all!

they added medium and large yesterday at UA in white :sarcastic:

So I would obviously have to have it altered then. Thankfully the skirts are pretty inexpensive to begin with because the altering ain't cheap!

Not sure where you live, but even though I am not Pentecostal, I live where the religion has a common presence.

I would be realistic...slits on skirts are not there for fashion...they are there to keep the seams from splitting when you walk. While there is nothing wrong with full length, we have several church members at work and I have never seen one...ever...wear a full length skirt.

Clarify with your Pastor what is required...the scripture only requires that your dress be modest and is distinctly different from the dress of men...we are kind of out of the age where ankles are scandalous.

I once had the man who does my alterations argue with me when I wanted him to sew up a split on a straight denim skirt! I almost thought he was going to refuse! He was adamant I would not he able to walk in it (which was incorrect...I had no problem).

While I personally wear mostly ankle-length skirts, I have found them to be a bit cumbersome when I work, so I wear them a few inches shorter for work ( they are still plenty long).

I think the OP needs to follow her convictions. I personally always wear long sleeves (even in summer). People think I am crazy and that it is not necessary, but that is my own personal conviction, and I would feel naked if I walked out in public in short sleeeves! Perhaps it is the same for the OP and the length of her skirts.
