Hi everyone! Just wanted to get a topic started on FSW's Fall 2019 cycle. The application deadline is May 15th. Here are my stats:
When this spring semester ends, I will have taken 8 out of the 9 pre-reqs. (3.62 GPA) I plan on taking A & P II in the summer. I am also taking the TEAS for the first time in May. I am a little stressed that I'm cutting it too close to the deadline and taking the TEAS without A & P II. My #1 choice is Collier ANEW, #2 is Lee ANEW.
Does anyone have a clue where clinical will take place? I'm at Collier campus so I am hoping that we stay in Collier for clinical.. but I'm not really sure, haven't read anything about clinical on past years forums or from former students.
Hi I graduated from the Collier campus May 2019. Currently studying to take NCLEX. To answer your question, first semester clinicals are in the nursing homes in the Naples area. There are about four facilities I believe. The last few weeks of the semester, clinicals will be at NCH downtown.
Has anyone purchased the books? Is there anything additional outside of the $999.00 bundle?
I have bought the books, but I had to pre order them because the book store had not received them yet. Beyond this bundle, there was the ATI package and DocuCare. I bought mine at the bookstore (lee) and it was about 580 for both. They were not books though. One was a large envelope that they told me I would need to bring to classes the first week and my professor would let me know what to do with them.

Can you purchase the ATI and DocuCare separately? Since we don't need DocuCare until the second semester?
I bought the books at Collier today. The bundle that comes in a DVD case of the ebooks (which I absolutely hate) and then the code in the envelope. $1650 today. And you have the option to print textbooks but of course it’s more money. Super inconvenient in my opinion but I didn't want to chance having the wrong books for any online assignments ?

I tried last week when I went to buy the ATI access code but they told me something along the lines that I financial aid for books doesn't kick in until August 5th

A DVD case? So is that how we access the text? My computer doesn’t have a DVD drive. Is there not an app? Can you access the text on a tablet? And what was the cost of just the book bundle, not including ATI?

Im not sure how that would work because it is a CD. Cost of CD 999.99 ATI is $565
Has anyone purchased the polo for the orientation next Friday? It says it needs have the FSW nursing logo.. does anyone know if you can just purchase any FSW polo from the bookstore? I sent an e-mail to the nursing department in regards to this but I am not sure if they will get back to me.
