Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.
Who is joining me next fall in nursing?
I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.
I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.
I cannot help but think about the qualified people. I wish that the program could be a bit larger. I understand why.However, My heart goes out to all that has to conform to the new rules for AA. Instead of Pre-
I took the time to read all the new class requirements. I do not know how to respond. I am happy for us, yet sad for future students that applied and now their path has changed.
I wish that any student that applied for this fall would be exempt from this new rule.
It now says 'pending review' and when I click the drop-down (+), it says "Yes". So, I guess I am just waiting for the 'pending review' to turn into a 'complete'.

Im lee day, looked on the courses we need to take! WOW, we're gonna be super busy! Glad i waited to complete all my pre-req's...no way i could handle more than 5 courses

1023L Fundamentals Nursing Practicum (T-1-3:50)
1060 Health Assessment (TH-8A-10)
1060L Health Assessment Lab (TH-10:30-1:30)
Im doing my 1022L at CCH from 6:30-3:00 on Fridays (we start the same day my kids start school, gotta take my baby her first day of kindergarten, otherwise i wouldve choosen Mondays)
Now that our certified profiles are complete... has anyone heard from the school about what our next step will be or when we will hear about orientation by chance? I'm sooo type A! I like to plan and this waiting game is just not my thing...lol!
We already did the orientations, waiting for the emails, stating to wait and watch the mail for our acceptance packets. Cant wait for the degree evaluation to change from Pre Nursing to Nursing, so i can officially registar for my classes

I have been moved from Pre-Nursing to non degree seeking. Is that just me or for anyone?? I'm thinking the orientations will come with the packet :)
