Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.
Who is joining me next fall in nursing?
I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.
I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.
Good luck tomorrow too! It takes me almost an hour to get to the Lee campus. I'm thinking that may be a little too far for the next two years of classes, but I think I may apply for the part time option as my second choice. I mostly just want to get started so I can be closer to finishing. A part of me wants to just go to whichever one accepts me, regardless of how far it is lol.
Lol, me too. However, I will have to think about it. I have two children and I need and want to be home when they get home. In any of the the full time campuses, I will not be some days. Even though, deep down I don't want part-time, its the best for me and my family.
If I do get accepted into any full-time program, I might just might turn it down and re-apply in October. Hard decision for me but I will have to consider if its worth it for me. I cant really study when they are home and part-time, I can study when they are in school. So it works out great. Oh well, it will be God's hands and he knows whats best.
After my initial 89 on my HESI I took it again Monday and got an 85.7 : ( so I applied in person yesterday with an overall score of 88 with my first choice LEE nights and 2nd choice Charlotte days. There is no way I can do days without quitting my job and I'm about to reach my 10 year anniversary so that really would be depressing. I'm feeling pretty confident but the wait is going to be excruciating! Has anyone heard how long it takes to be notified?

Bummer on 85.7 on hesi. However, you still have a great score of 88. I am sure you will get in. Last fall, they notified the applicants right before Memorial Day in Charlotte and Lee nights and Lee days was notified that Tuesday or Wednesday after Memorial Day. So hopefully that is the case this year. However, they can take longer and notify as in the first two weeks of June.
I would almost prefer the part time option for the same reason, I would have to quit my job if I were in the full time program, but I feel as though the Charlotte campus is so close that I have to make it my first option. Hoping to max out my points tomorrow for the hesi! If not I'll be applying for spring.
So many decisions, I suppose I'll apply to them all and see what happens. The worst I can think of is I'll have to apply again for spring. Even that would be a real bummer!
SafetySam, I'm sure you'll get in!

Im taking hesi tomorrow too. So nervous as well. I hope to get full points so I can apply with 89 points. We shall see tom.
I live in Cape Coral so I am in middle of both campuses. Lee is closer in miles but traffic wise it takes me longer.
Finally, after so much back and forth I put Lee part-time as first choice and Lee full-time campus as second and Charlotte as third choice.
