Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.
Who is joining me next fall in nursing?
I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.
I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.
Honestly, I don't remember if it was harder since I last took it in September. Study DNA codes and what they match. That was one of my questions I remember. Know all parts of the cell and what it does. I scored over 95 in English, Grammar and Vocab so unless it's not your first language, don't worry about it too much. Know math ratios! I had like 6 of those! Did well on the section but ratios kill me. Wish they gave you a copy of the questions so you know what to study.I'm going to apply anyway. One nursing student told me they call her class the C class because that was the average to get in. Hopeful thoughts! If I don't get in, I'll be retaking the HESI before the Oct deadline. I'll just start reading my bio book cover to cover.
Maybe try going on crash course on YouTube. I found the videos helped me tremdedously on my bio portion. I got a 96% and it had been 2 years since I took it. Some questions I specifically remember him discussing. Best wishes on your next exam.
Alright guys, I am putting all my scores in the admissions calculation points sheet. I put my 88.67 for the HESI and it says 35 points? I don't believe the old sheet rounded like that. Does anyone know if they made it so it rounds up to the next point? If so that will give me 93 points on my application! I am probably going to email someone about it. I just wanted to bring it to all of your attention. Here's to hoping, right?

Thats good. I hope you get a response soon. Are you taking it again in Monday?
Thats great! I hope that is the case. But girl with 93 on your application, I am sure you will get in any campus you choose. The highest I can get if I get the whole 40 from hesi is an 89. So I am hoping to get at least in mid 80s and get accepted.
I was going to pick lee nights but after considering it, I am going to go with Lee day as first and Charlotte as second and lee nights third. I hope to get in one of the three.
Hi Everyone!
I'm new here, but I've read some of these posts recently and wanted to say thanks for helping me prepare for the HESI. I took it yesterday and passed with a 91.33! I'm new to FSW, but I just completed my degree in biomedical sciences at Hodges. I'm applying for the Lee Fall15 day program. I can't believe the 15th is almost here! I'm waiting for FSW to process my transcripts before I can submit my application. I am so nervous and excited at the same time.
Thank you! I studied from the HESI Admission Assessment Exam Review. I watched a lot of YouTube videos on each system for A&P, watched the Crash Course videos for Bio, and went back through my Bio and A&P books on areas I needed a refresher for.
Those 2-3 weeks are going to feel like an eternity! Have you already submitted your application?
