FSW Fall 2015

Published

Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.

Who is joining me next fall in nursing?

I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. :arghh: lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.

I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.

No I am going to apply on Wed when I take Hesi.

Hi Everyone!

I'm new here, but I've read some of these posts recently and wanted to say thanks for helping me prepare for the HESI. I took it yesterday and passed with a 91.33! I'm new to FSW, but I just completed my degree in biomedical sciences at Hodges. I'm applying for the Lee Fall15 day program. I can't believe the 15th is almost here! I'm waiting for FSW to process my transcripts before I can submit my application. I am so nervous and excited at the same time.

Great job!!!! How many points are you applying with?

I have a total of 98 points, I have a B in my prerequisites :(. I haven't applied yet since FSW hasn't processed my transcripts from Hodges, but I'm hoping they have everything by Wednesday. How many points do you have?

Wow. Dont worry with 98 points you will be accepted. I hope your transcripts get processed, if not bring your official transcripts to admission office. It will be processed immediately. I know this because it happened to me. Dont wait for them to look through the huge pile.

If they round my 88.67 up which they said they should, I have 93 points. If they don't I have 88 points. I'm retaking my HESI on Tuesday so if I can get that 90.1 or higher I will have 98 points as well. I got a B in anatomy and physiology II. I'm applying for the night program. There is no way you're not getting in to the day program with 98 points. Congrats!!!!!!

Thats awesome girls with only one B. I currently have two Bs. All rest is As. But I'm missing two classes(A&P 2 & a humanities),which puts my points lower. If I get part time I will be taking those classes in fall. If not I'm taking them in summer if I get accepted full-time and if do not get accepted I will take them in fall.

Thanks MamiLuv! I had one copy sent to them, but last week they said it wasn't in the system. So I brought them my backup transcript. The advisor said it usually takes 7 days to process. It should be in by Thursday, but who knows. It's still not showing in the system. I ordered another transcript to turn in with my application, since it's from another university. There's also a chance my micro credits won't transfer smoothly, but I have the paperwork filled out just incase. This school is killing me with the last minute waiting and hoping everything goes through in time.

Thanks Slewis. When was the last time you took the HESI? It's definitely possible to get a 90.1 or higher. I got a B in gen psychology. I was struggling in chem II that semester and tried focusing mainly in that, but ended up getting a B in both chem II and gen psychology, which made me switch majors from pre-PA to pre-Nursing.

I'm not too worried about being accepted, but there's always a chance. Plus my main concern is the office processing everything on their end in time.

Hi everyone Dropped off my application for Collier (1st pick) today. Crossing my fingers. Wish you all luck!

Hello everyone! I'm taking the hesi again tomorrow and I'm soon nervous!

Is anyone out there considering going to a campus that is pretty far from them? Charlotte is my first pick because it's about 5 minutes away, but I'm still thinking of applying for Lee as second choice. Anyone in the same boat?!

Thanks :)
