FSCJ Summer 2011 Hopefuls

Is there anyone planning to apply for FSCJ's Summer 2011 RN program? I am taking A&PI and II next semester with Human Growth and Dev. and Sociology, then I'll apply. I am taking Microbiology during the spring prior to going into the program. I am taking the Nat in September after Chem 1032. What about you?

You certainly could take it before AP2, most of the AP stuff is from AP1....at least give it a shot. You may be out more money but the test never changes, but you'll be preparing yourself.

Hi Lacey,

Yeah, that is true. I am doing well in AP1, math skills are good but I am horrible at Chemistry. I only have 72 points so far. So even if I do well (which is highly unlikely), it still won't be enough to apply...lol

If you don't mind me asking, how did you do on your first try?

And chem is a WHOLE LOT of math, but I think I got around 97 points, which would be great if they weren't upping the cutoff points ever semester, so I'll definately be trying again.

Hey everybody I am applying for summer term also! I am glad to see that the cut off for spring has went down compared to fall! I am finishing microbiology right now and its kicking my butt! Hoping for an A in it! Im also retaking the NAT in a few weeks. Any advice on retaking it? what books did you study, or timing tricks?

Can I ask someone about Worksource? I read somewhere that they would help pay some stuff. I would like to apply but before I talk to Worksource I want to ask from someone who had experience with Worksource. I'm married w/ children and work full time but doesn't make much to finance my nursing study. I'm planning to apply for FAFSA comes January. Never applied for any financial aid before because I'm only taking 1 or 2 courses at a time. My other dilemma is I have a bachelor's degreee from another country so I have extra these credits. So, can someone guide me thru and what questions do I ask from them, what's there criteria, etc.

Do some of you guys have student loans because you didn't quality for federal grant? I need guidance, insight so I wouldn't get in a bind at the last minute. I hate to think that I'm finished all the required classes but can't continue into the program because I afford.

hey, I have worksource. but i'm also 21 and single. i know a lot of people that are married/have kids/not working/etc that are on it. every person's situation is different and they will look at your expenses differently than they would someone like me who has no morgate or dependents, so it's best that you contact them (the sooner the better) good luck! if you do get it, it will be the best thing that could happen to you in school

Hi everyone!

On my last post a couple of months ago I said I was a 2011 Fall hopeful, I meant Summer 2011. :) I will be applying to the summer term in January. I am too excited to finally be able to apply.

I have been a Spring 10 hopeful, a Summer 11 hopeful and every other hopeful under the sun :clown: but I think I have finally figured it out! lol I get really confused when it comes to dates for some reason .

Anyhow, I am officially a Fall 2011 hopeful since I read on another post there will be no N/W offered in Summer 2011. Hopefully I won't have to change into a Spring 2012 hopeful. :confused:

LOL! Yes, I can absolutely understand. I know a lot of the other students that applied to the Spring that got their acceptance letters and that is the best holiday gift ever! :)

I just hope the Summer cut off is lower than Spring. What do you all think?

Has anybody posted the cut-off for the Fall 2011 semester? I would think for Summer 11 it would be high since there will be less openings.

On the Spring 2011 Hopefuls thread they said the cut off was around 194.7 or something like that. I thought maybe they would be lower since there are no nights and weekends, and people don't normally like to take classes in the summer.....:confused: I guesssssss.... I have not a clue.
