FSCJ Spring 2012 Hopeful w/???s

Published

Hi everyone. This is my first time posting here. I am in the middle of tackling the pre-reqs for FSCJ nursing program. I am really hoping to get into the SPring 2012 program (fingers crossed!!) But I'm a little confused about something.

I will be taking my last two classes in the fall, Micro and AP2. My advisor told me that I can apply for the program while I am taking these classes....my question is, if I apply to the program before the Oct. 1 deadline how will they be able to calculate my points for Micro and AP2 if I have not yet fully completed those classes? Will I have to wait until the next fall program? I am really hoping that is not the case, but I'm thinking my advisor may have given me th wrong information.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Hello every one. I guess that I am the slacker by just getting on this site. I am so excited to start the madness in Jan. I will be nights and weekends and I look forward to meeting every one. I would love to join yall on fb please look me up at Car Lyt. Sorry I am not very big on fb just really getting started so I don't have an actual picture up yet. Congrats to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the encouragement guys... I'm hoping I'll still get one of the dropped seats =)

Well Shiverphone, I think you still have a good chance. One of my friends made it in the program the day of orientation, so dont give up yet.

Shiverphone, one of my friends got a call on the first day of CLASSES! Don't give up yet. If you do get declined, the letter will tell you your number on the list.

Hi All!

I am a late comer, but was accepted to the program too!!! Shiverphone, I was declined 3x before I made it in. What I didn't know is I could use more than one set of NAT test scores to apply with as long as they weren't more than 2yrs old. I would find I would do better in certain feilds other times, each time. So finally, I submitted all of them and ended up with a great score.

Don't be discouraged, had I given up I would have never made it in now. Best of luck in Fall, and I hope that helps.

OK... Car Lyt??? I could not find you..sorry....maybe we can figure it out on the 19th...?? Unless you want to try to find it :)

I know this is premature, but has anyone looked at the job outlook so far? I see a lot of BSN requirement. Which is scary...ugh

On that note, is anyone planning on doing the BSN program after this to stay competetive? Just curious :)

congrats to everyone who got in ! i am so excited for this new adventure to begin. a lot of work to do and very busy each day running from place to place getting all info ready for our folders. has anyone picked up their skills kit yet ? thanks to the person who posted about the polo shirt being at the school to purchase. i will try to go on monday and see if they still have some available.

Most of my friends who are nurses are going for their BSN..that is my goal...the better jobs are at the BSN level but the pay rate is about the same..also BSN allows you to go into upper level positions...I wouldn't think that finding a job would be hard if you are willing to go where the jobs are..my first nursing job was in g'ville until I found a job in j'ville...good luck everyone!!

:)Hi EmGrey. I tried to find you on facebook as well. I think I found you, but did not see where to friend request you. It is Car Lyt but there is no info on me I kept everything private and I am kinda hidden. My best friend had a hard time as well. Maybe give it another try and if not we will figure it out on the 19th. Thanks and look forward to meeting you
