Hi everyone. This is my first time posting here. I am in the middle of tackling the pre-reqs for FSCJ nursing program. I am really hoping to get into the SPring 2012 program (fingers crossed!!) But I'm a little confused about something.
I will be taking my last two classes in the fall, Micro and AP2. My advisor told me that I can apply for the program while I am taking these classes....my question is, if I apply to the program before the Oct. 1 deadline how will they be able to calculate my points for Micro and AP2 if I have not yet fully completed those classes? Will I have to wait until the next fall program? I am really hoping that is not the case, but I'm thinking my advisor may have given me th wrong information.
I was wondering did you get in with a 196 and if so what semester?
Does anyone know how FSCJ calculates transfer credit? I just moved here from the Midwest and at my old school Anatomy and Physiology were taken separately with labs and were worth 5 credit hours.
I studied like a madwoman for the last two weeks for the NAT test because I had NO idea what to expect, but I didn't do as well as I would have hoped. The time on the academic aptitude section tripped me up. I didn't realize you had to work so fast! I only got through 1/4 of the problems .
What do you all thing my chances are? My scores are as follows:
NAT TEST:
Academic Aptitude 49
Reading Comprehension: 21
Natural Sciences: 71
TOTAL: 141/.64 = 90.24
Grades: 106 (factoring in 5 credits a piece for Anatomy and Physiology. Plus, I have not taken DEP 2004. It was not a requirement for the nursing program at my last school. An "A" in that would have given me 12 points I REALLY need )
GRAND TOTAL: 196.24
I am thinking that if I do get in Spring 2012 then it will be by the skin of my teeth. My overall points aren't terrible, but I was REALLY hoping my NAT score would help me get well over 200 points.

I am graduating with my AA and extremely nervous about applying to the RN program, it will be a big change in my life.
