I scanned the threads and didn't see one for this class set up yet. I'm applying at the end of the semester. Anyone else?

What was the cutoff for the Spring semester?

I believe it was 196. It is somewhere in here, if I'm wrong. It is right around that number, though.

194.36 was the rumored cutoff although my packet did not say one way or another so I'm not certain.

Hello all, This is my first post. I finally got accepted after my 4th try with 194 pts. I received a call on tuesday evening and was asked to come to orientation on Wednesday for the morning classes. Would i accept? heck ya! I dont know if i should be excited or sad. I really want this but i work full time in the mornings and quiting right now is not an option. My first choice was evening/weekend and when i talked to her today no evening seats . Does anyone want to switch? If not I will have to sit out until August, If i get accepted. :crying2:

I have some questions for you guys. All of us on the summer 2011 thread are ready to apply for the program after Christmas break. How does one go about applying? Do you have to pick up a packet from school?

Also, I got my grade for my last pre-req and I have 202.36. I dread the though of paying $40 to take that wretched NAT again. And I dont even know what to study and I really dont think I could do any better on it a 2nd time. Do you think this is enough or should I just quit whining and take it again????

Yes pick up a packet from the nursing office or send me a private message with your email address and I can email it to you. I have a copy saved on my PC. Fill it out and turn it in with your printed transcript and a copy of your NAT results. The cut off for the Spring 2011 was around 194, but the Fall 2010 cutoff was 202.38. I retook my NAT and finished Micro and brought my points up by 29 (my NAT was an extra 17 points when I retook it the 2nd time). All I can say is it won't hurt you to take it for the 2nd time. You never know those few extra points can really make a difference. No one can ever tell what the cut off will be per semester. You do know the summer term is only daytime classes right? There aren't any N&W classes for summer. I say bite the bullet take the NAT again. More than likely you will do better the 2nd time around which would probably guarantee your spot.. :)

I already asked someone this earlier, but I took AP1 at another school (SJRCC) and the lecture and lab were taken at the same time, but were 2 different grades. I made a B in lecure (9 pts) and an A in lab (4 pts). At the other school this is 13 points. Do you think fscj would calculate the same way? I cant think of any other way they could calculate it. On the application there is a space for BSC2580C...no separate space for lecture and lab

At our orientation, they did mention something about the way they calculated classes taken at other schools, but I don't know how it would apply to your situation. I'd call the nursing office or send an email - the email is on the program website. :)

As long as they will accept the lab, thats the most important thing. They did not list it on my transcript so that worries me, but they school obviously recognizes that I took it b/c I would not be allowed into AP2 and lab without AP1 and lab. Ill call tomorrow. I cant imagine that they wouldnt take it. Theres no way this is the first time this has happened. SJRCC is old school and people have been transferring for ages

If the lab isn't showing up on your transcript, that might be a problem in the long run. They told us at orientation that if you didn't have 4 credits worth of BSC2085 or whatever that you'd have to take another class to make up the difference before you could graduate or take the NCLEX. I'd talk to the records office or an advisor to see about fixing that.

They gave me 4 credits for BSC2580 (or whatever it is). Im just ticked b/c I got an A in my lab class and they gave me 4 credits for the B in lecture. So I got 4 credits but the A in lab was not acknowledged
