I scanned the threads and didn't see one for this class set up yet. I'm applying at the end of the semester. Anyone else?

The arithmetic section does count in the academic aptitude portion. it was ridiculous! I had only done 47 questions and realized I only had 8 mins left. I remember them saying u dont get penalized for wrong answers and if u run out of time, xmas tree it, so thats what I did. Only got 95.6 on the NAT the first time.

If I make an A in college alg I'll have 201 points. And thats If I dont retake the NAT. I dont feel like I can improve my score much either, but they say most people do a lot bettr the second time, so If I can just improve my NAT score a couple points, I feel like Ill be in the safety zone. UGH! stupid test!!!

Specializes in Trauma.

I tried FSCJ and there program is reasonable but they only take those that is not about caring for the patient but they are there for the money I tried FSCJ but I rather get my bsn in one round.

do what?????

I submitted my application last Friday 9/24 with total scores of 206 that came from 107 from my grades and 99 from the NAT. I understand that no points are given for Chemistry so I didnt calculate any in that point calculation. I alos read a post from students of a previous term stating they understood there wouldnt be any night or weekend classes with this term so I would think that would make the cut off higher possibly than normal. We shall see. If i dont make it here I will be applying to SJRCC on their next term. I thought I read somewhere living in Clay county would penalize me for acceptance into FSCJ Nursing program does anyone know that for sure? Good Luck to all Hope to see you in class in the Spring, I am so ready to be finished with all of this....

As far as I know, clay and st johns are no longer accepted into the program, unless there aren't enough students from duval and Nassau to fill the available spots. This is what the nursing advisor told me, but luckily i moved to duval 2 years ago

Hi all!

I am a Summer 2011 hopeful! I will be taking the NAT next week. If I make all A's with my pre reqs this semester I will have a total off 107 points to go with whatever I make on the NAT. I too like everyone else am very very nervous about this test. YIKES! Do any of you know if they offer nights and weekends and days in the summer term? They usually accept 96 students in the summer. I wonder if the cut off is higher or lower in the summer. I will keep you all posted as to how I do on the NAT! Wish me luck!!!!!!

if you have 107 points going into the NAT, you will do fine. If you are applying for the next term nursing classes wouldnt that be the Spring term? and my paperwork states they accept 144 students. I also went back in the same paper work and it states they accept students from Duval, Clay and St Johns with priority. Good Luck....

Thats just what the advisor told me about 6 months ago, that theyre trying to keep everyone in their own counties. Who knows. still doesnt hurt to apply though

I am taking a full load this semester and my classes are not out until Dec. The application deadline for Spring is Oct 1. I want to make sure that all of my pre reqs count. I know that you can apply even if you are enrolled in a pre reqs the semester before, but I dont think that they apply those grades. With all that in mind, I'm hoping to get into the summer term, The application deadline is FEB 1st. Soon2bmurse, I hope the 107 is good enough, I made a couple of Bs and depending on how I do on the NAT I may need to retake some of those classes I made a B in.

Thanks for the encouragement. R u applying to the Spring term?

I think they may have a difficult time trying to implement that one still handing out application packets that contradict that objective, it would at least be open for appeal possibly a law suit...most especially when you accept students from all these outlying areas for regular admissions and someone such as myslef has all the necessary prereq's with a decent placement score from FSCJ and in the thirteenth hour they want to throw out some bogus qualifying criteria that isnt listed anywhere else in any handbook or web site location and the exact opposite statement is still listed on the application packets.....I may need to call my good buddy at the "DoWe, Cheat'Um and How" law firm for a free consultation....:yeah:

I am and have, just playing the waiting game now. I wish you luck, I was sweating the NAT myself as I detest tests such as it however surprisingly I did very well. Just watch your time and pace yourself. it's all pretty basic material except for the vocab. i have avery good vacab yet there were words i have never seen let alone knew the spelling of. Just utilize your critical thinking skills there and you will be fine. Deep breaths...:yeah:
