  1. I am from florida and I start next tuesday I am so excited by the way Congrats we as male nurses can do it.
  2. Hi Hello everyone I just got accepted into the LPN program at FSCJ. Have a God Bless day.
  3. @Lovecats85 Thank you so much I will do that because I went to try and study out the recommended book they have and that is what came to me.
  4. Hello I really need some advice because I have been in college for a while leaving due to financial then coming back to school. My question is, I am trying to get into the RN program at FSCJ. Well you know more than 600 people apply every semester. I am done with all of my pre reqs. I gotta take the nat, but my only fear is I might not get into the program because I am not a all A student. well I work and stay alone so I must do what I gotta do to take care of myself. I thought about the LPN program. is that a good idea or do I have a better chance with the Respiratory program? I wanna do that one because I have the options to see alot of things. I will be able to work in the units besides. working as a LPN I have limited options and me I like to see alot of stuff. I currently work as a tech in the trauma center, so should I just go into the respiratory program at FSCJ then just bridge over because you can be a respiratory therapist to bridge over? alot of people tell me that because I am a male and a minority I will get. I dont feel its true, not at fscj. so any advice will help because I am at the point I am tired of being looked at as nothing just because I am CNA. you can tell a good nurse because if he or she has been cna they appreciate what they do because they earned because what they went through.
  5. I am 30 hopefully I get in the program for fall but I will be 33 or 32 when I finish.
  6. Thanks Airomed I dont have an LPN license right now so what is the best way to study for the NAT
  7. You was not in the wrong at all for one the students was at wrong because they did not want to touch the person that was so not good. I believe that if they made in their minds they wanted to do the NG why go in and then not do nothing. This is how you find out who is in nursing for the money and in nursing with a heart. I find the professor to be in the wrong to because there is two sides to a story next time they try to bring students to your unit before hand I wound tell the nurse manager dont give me anyone or dont allow them to come to the unit. You did good as a preceptor.
  8. Good Afternoon to all the male nurses and futre male nurses I have a question I am going for the RN program at my school I am through with my pre reqs I am also graduating from FSCJ in May. I am thought about doing the LPN program but alot of people suggest I dont I need to make a 90 on my NAt test which I am studying for I thougt about LPN because with my AA degree it will get me in the program faster because degree students get in faster. If I do the LPN I will bridge to the lpn to RN and be dont but I dont know what I should do at this point I just want to be the nurse I am called to be what are some suggestions guys.
  9. Listen Trenia I would back off most of all you do not know me and besides find a child to play with because I am not the one. You might try these other people you dont want to start nothing you cannot finish.
  10. Hello Everyone What I should I do the RN or LPN I want to do the RN program but I counted al of my points and I would have to pass the NAT test with a 90 I am not saying I cant but if I dont get in should I do the lpn and the do the bridge to RN I just dont want to be sitting out waiting for semesters to go by and they dontpick me at least if I do the lpn I will have some nursing on my back also I am a cna working in a level one trauma center so I will really have alot of experience what should I do
  11. If you are taking Micro and AP2 in the fall then you can apply for the program take the nat at the end of fall then if you do very well keep your first scores.
  12. Goodmorning future nurses, nurses, and nursing students I have a question I am so confused what to do. Currently I am a Certified Nursing Assistant I work in a level one trauma unit I work in the unit as tech, and I love it. Currently I am in school to become a nurse right now I have done all my pre reqs all I need to do is take the NAT test which is the nursing entrance test I work fulltime I graduate with my AA degree next year I dont have already gotten accepted at the local university here but I am waiting to see if I get into the nursing program I have already turned in my application hopefully I will get in because I turned in my app early I just dont know if I should apply to the community college becaus my gpa is ok but at the community college everybody is trying to go there. So should I apply for the community college and is it tru that I most likely will get in because I am a minority and a male I am confused what to do nursing is my heart I love taking care of people nursing is my heart I need help because I want to go to the community college but I dont know if they would take my if my gpa is in the 2 area thats because I work and go to school but I am constantly trying to stay focus and not giving up because I want to be a nurse that is the goal and dream so what should I do?
  13. I have a 2.5 thats the requirement for JU but because I work fulltime and go to school its hard but I know that I will get through nursing school have you been on JU site all you need to get in the program is A&P 1and2 nutrition chemistry micro I think thats it
  14. K nurse-one-day If you graduate next year then you can apply for the transfer program I see currently you are taking college algebra you can still apply for the program as long as you have all of the pre reqs done before the program I am taking stats and hum next semester then I graduate I just applied to the nursing program the day I just got accepted into the university the other day it was not long at all.
