FSCJ/FCCJ spring 2011 hopefuls

Published

I scanned the threads and didn't see one for this class set up yet. I'm applying at the end of the semester. Anyone else?

Who said Nights and Weekends aren't offered in the Spring? That's what I applied for so I hope that they do offer those classes. That's really ridiculous if they don't offer it Spring AND Fall.

i emailed the nusring program director about the nights and weekend program and this is what she sent me: so if you applied for the night and weekend for spring 2011 then you will get in as long as you are accepted.

we do not offer evening and weekend every semester. [color=#632523]the next semesters for evening and [color=#953735]weekend are spring 2011, [color=#4f81bd]summer 2011 daytime only, [color=#953735]evening/weekend fall 2011, spring 2012, summer 2012, fall 2012 day time only.

Thanks everyone for your feedback It really helped. We can start registering for our spring classes and I was thinking about taking two of my humanities classes online for 8weeks.

I express my gratitude and appreciation :heartbeat to all of you because sometimes I might lose sight of my goal, and forget what all of my hard work is for. Coming on here and reading the posts even if its as simple as someone letting us know that they applied, or that they passed a class, it keeps me motivated to keep pushing despite how I may be feeling. We are all in this for the same thing, to become a nurse and its a beautiful thing! LOL! :dncgbby:

Has anyone heard back from SJRCC? I know a lot of people apply there in addition to fccj

I don't know anything about CJRCC nursing program. Sorry

Specializes in Peds.

Anytime KT =)

Best of luck in your upcoming classes! You can do it!

Getting antsy over here... although I know it is likely that we will not hear about FSCJ spring 2011 admission until mid-late November I am racing my husband to the mail each day.... !!

Im pretty anxious to see what the cut off is so I can see kinda what Im gonna be up against when I apply for the summer term. Hopefully the spring cut off will be a little lower to give us all some breathing room!:uhoh3:

For those of you concerned about Spring 2011 having a N/W program - they will be having one and it will be at North Campus. It is not offered every term and the campuses are alternating. I have applied to Spring 2011 and am wishing for N/W so I called and asked about it before turning in my application.

I'm antsy as well!!! The waiting is nerve racking :) but just so you know, I was told by the nursing dept. that acceptance/denial letters won't be going out until Dec. 1. I hope its before then but that is what I was told.

Anytime KT =)

Hi NJ

I have been planning and planning to take the NAT but everytime something comes up and I keep delaying it.

I am doing the same thing, trying to space it out. The application period for the Summer 2011 is OCT1 to FEB1, my goal is take the test this month, so that I could retake it again in Jan. if i need to.

I have been hearing so many different things about the science portion of the NAT. Some say that it was all microbiology and chemistry questions, and then I hear that it pulls all the questions from AP1 and AP2. I have no idea what to expect, I am wondering if I know enough being halfway through Micro, to take the test yet.

I have already taken AP1, AP2, CHM1032c and now I am in Micro. Myself and some of my classmates that I am taking Micro with have all gotten together to study some of the material from our Allied Health test booklets that we purchased. I started studying the booklet and all my AP1, AP2 and CHM material back in July. At this point I am ready to get it over with.

I agree with someone else's response...you are ready for the NAT. Honestly, it's so much of a knowledge thing as much as it is a time issue. You have to be able to think fast and respond to the questions fast. I applied for the Spring 2011 term so I took the NAT back in May just so I would have the opportunity for a retake but found that it wasn't necessary. All the stressing that I had done was unwarranted. I had already taken A&P 1 and Chemistry...came out with 104 towards my application. If your other grades are are the higher end, you'll have the score to get accepted.

I'm "out of county" and hoping that my 223 points will be enough for a seat. I've been accepted to another program, but would prefer FSCJ. The wait is ridiculously long.

What program did you get into? I think 223 would be enough for being out of county. I dont see why not..
