I scanned the threads and didn't see one for this class set up yet. I'm applying at the end of the semester. Anyone else?
Whaley,
I contacted the nusing program director, ****** *****, and she just told me that the Nights and weekends for Spring 2011 are at Deerwood, NOT the north campus. Not sure who you talked to but I keep in regular contact with ****** and this is what she told me at 9:00am this monring (10/26/10).
For those of you concerned about Spring 2011 having a N/W program - they will be having one and it will be at North Campus. It is not offered every term and the campuses are alternating. I have applied to Spring 2011 and am wishing for N/W so I called and asked about it before turning in my application.
The Spring 2011 N&W program is at Deerwood not the north campus per ****** *****, Nursing Program Director. Just thought you should know.
All I know is that I was rejected for Fall 2010 and my letter was dated July 22nd and postmarked July 26th which means I probably got it around July 28th. The deadline was June 1st. So 8 weeks from June 1st would have been August 1st. It loosk like we might get them 2-3 days sooner than the 8 week mark but it is pretty darn close. :)
What program did you get into? I think 223 would be enough for being out of county. I dont see why not..
K,
I got into Broward (I live in Gainesville but will move to go to school. It will take a year longer at Santa Fe because they only admit once a year and require a LOT more classes). Hoping for Jax, as it is closer, but will go to Broward if I don't get into FSCJ. The "out of county" thing makes it much more difficult.
Does anyone know the answer to this???
I understand the point system for FSCJ RN program, but I have a ques. about GPA.
Does the GPA as a whole, carry ANY strength?
I have a choice between retaking a class I failed in order to help bring my gpa back up closer to 4.o than 3.0, or taking the huamanities i need and getting an A, but it still won't raise my gpa that much (due to that previous failure). I don't HAVE to take the humanities, b/c I have taken a humanities CLEP test. Thing is with those, FSCJ only credits you pass or fail, no grade. So for the RN points I would only get 6 points, versus 12 points if I get an A. Soooo....my question is which is more worthwhile....taking the HUM and getting more RN points, or getting my GPA up? That being said, I have almost all A's for all the rest of the RN point classes.
I have been trying to call people all over FSCJ and can't reach anyone today!!! You'd think it was 3p.m. on a Friday

My poor hubby is applying for the 2nd time. For fall he didn't have enough points, but he never even got a letter. He went to the office and they searched a pile of envelopes that had come back and said, "Well, if it's not in here then it must have got lost in the mail." If it wasn't for the forums on here we wouldn't have known the disappointment....but at least we knew. And wow, 223 points is a lot...I would NOT worry.
