FSCJ Fall 2014 hopefuls

Published

Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.

Just got off the phone with mrs James and the cut off was not 176 as told by someone before ....more acceptance letters went out this morning along with some denial letters ....so hopefully we will get then tomorrow ....she would not give me the cutoff ......at least I know I turned in everything but the wait ....ugh .......

The person who stated that the cutoff score must be 176 did so because someone with that score got accepted. So maybe it is a little bit lower? I am so worried. I wonder if any letters will be received today.

Awesome that you called! But they need to hurry up! I'm so tired of waiting that its driving me crazy. I don't know how long mail takes from there to my house hopefully not long. I wonder if they sent out letters yesterday too??

The cutoff was higher than 176 but she wouldn't say by how much ......no letters today they went out today so probably tomorrow ....she just said it had not been that low in quite some time ....

I don't understand how people got in then with 176. I swear she is just messing with us haha. I just pray I get that packet. It's so frustrating they are taking so long.

Has to be around 176-178 I would think. There's still hope! This wait is killing me. I wish they would give us atleast an idea, or mail them out all at once instead of in increments.

I wish someone would come on here and say my score was a firm 178 and I got my letter and we all can exhale ...meanwhile the post office picks up in afternoon soJacksonville has 1-day turn around for city mail ......

I am just worried about getting in and getting the stuff done by August 8. Not fair that people that got theirs on Friday are almost done with their stuff. I hate being behind and rushing because then I will forget something lol Okay so we should get something tomorrow if they went out today?

I just spoke to Mrs. James and she said letter will be going out all week except Friday. My score was 179.2 so I think I am right on the line according to what everyone has been saying. This process is so stressful but all we can do now is wait. Good luck to all applicants!

I got in!! I am forever grateful. I wonder if I could switch to the day program instead of Evenings and Weekend?

Hello,

I got accepted!!!! OMG I can't believe it. I am so nervous. I see that you have nights and may want to switch. I have days and may be interested in switching. Please let me know if you are interested. Also, if anyone else is interested let me know. I need to look at all my options.

Does anyone know what the nights classes are like as far as hours and days? Any clue what the day shifts look like?

Congrats everyone!!!

Becky

Congrats on everybody who got in! And those who are still waiting, don't stress! I spoke with Angie (front desk lady) and she said that the nursing packets could take up til' the first week of August. You guys still have time! :)

I got my acceptance packet on Friday and immediately went on and got finger printed for the background check, urinalysis for drug screen, gathered all my shot records, scheduled a physical exam at Carespot on Southside Blvd right next to Tinseltown (Costs 50$)

I have a question though, my shot records indicate that I was already vaccinated for MMR (Measles-Mumps-Rubella), so do I still need to get a titer for it?

Yes, because you may need a booster

Hi there everyone! I applied with a 179.**. I know letters are still going out. I have been following this forum for a while now. Has anyone gotten a letter in the mail today?? I'm a stress wreck over here. :scrying:
