FSCJ Fall 2014 hopefuls

Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.

I still have not received a letter or packet. I called Cheryl James, and she just told me they are still sending out letters. She also said it can take up to August 1st still. I don't know if it being so long after the first wave means I am just not accepted, or not. I don't know what to do. I am just sitting still, while my window of time is closing.

I can't remember exactly what my NAT score was, but I believe I was around 182 or something? I can't find where my copy of my NAT scores is.

Well, someone reported on here that they got in with like 178, so unless you did not do something correctly in your application, you should be in. Not getting a letter in the first wave last week does NOT mean you did not get in. If you don't get something this week, one way or the other, then I would call. They do send out in increments, that are random, the order means nothing, and you just have to be patient.

I didn't receive anything today either! And I was gonna say I am gonna call tomorrow, but I am glad you got a hold of her because I have tried many times to call her and ask questions. I was told they go out in increments to by my friend that got hers on Friday. Their deadline to call and accept their seat is July 25..I wonder for those that get their letters later will have a later deadline. And that's gonna suck if its that long because background checks and drug screen ect are due August 8!!! I am hoping we hear something soon. I know I did my application right and my final score was like 190 or 191!! Now I'm anxious. :(

Hi all!! I just got my acceptance into N&W!! My score was 202. Wondering if anyone is interested in switching for days and also if anyone knows the process to have it changed?! My situation has changed and daytime would work much better for me! Congrats to all!

I have a friend who is still waiting on her acceptance packet. If she gets into days then I know she would switch with you because she needs N/W.

Did you get your letter today, because I was told no letters went out on Saturday, so no one would have got letters today ….unless it traveled through the mail stream of the United States Postal Service ,, but nevertheless I called today to see about the switching and she said that they would go over the process in orientation, so once you find someone just make sure you keep in contact with them so that you'll can link up at orientation. She said you can't just call and make the change. And of course she wouldn't tell me what the procedure is. I haven't got my letter and I made 186 so I was calling to see if I had the correct address on file, and it was like pulling teeth just to get her to do that. She said that if we don't get a acceptance letter by the 28th they will call us to confirm if we want the spot and at which time, you can come up to the school and pick up the package but not before. I asked her what the cut off was and she said they haven't sent out denial letters so the cut off couldn't be given out….I wonder if they separated them into zip codes…LOL

She definitely didn't like giving answers out. But I am so thankful for this site. It puts my mind at rest. Well, as much as it can without that packet in my hand. And it's so nice to know I am not alone. I really hope tomorrow is the day!

Thank you so much for this information!! I have been so worried since Friday when all my friends got theirs on and I hadn't received mine. I am glad you and others from this site have reached out to them and was able to get some kind of an answer!! I was going to do that tomorrow, but I have tried in the past to contact Cheryl James and others from the department and haven't been so successful on speaking with them. This puts my mind at ease so much. I'm glad we should know something by the 28th because my friends have said all the important stuff background check ect is due the 8th which doesn't give us much time, but hopefully they would understand since we didn't find out until later. Doctors offices and so on are not in a hurry to get anything done which sucks for us, but I am so thankful for this site and was able to get some good information from you guys!! :) Hopefully this week will be the week.

Hey girl! I was trying to reply to your earlier post but it didn't work so I just let it as a regular comment, but thank goodness for this site, right? I replied to the person above you and said that I was glad y'all were able to call and get some kind of an answer even though they HATE giving out info lol Hopefully we will get something soon! I am so anxious waiting like this and not able to go ahead and get stuff done like my friends that got their letters on Friday! I even called the USPS today and made sure they were done with the route because there was nothing in my mailbox! Lol :(
