Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.
I know! It's driving me crazy! And I was so surprised when she picked up the phone. I would really love to be accepted in with you all because you seem like people I would like to go through this with. Fingers crossed tomorrow ends our suffering for an answer so we can move on to new stresses.
Me too girl! Yea every time I call I get her voicemail and I tried emailing her as well. That is sweet! I know everyone on here seems real nice and genuine and that's the people I want to go through this with. Hopefully tomorrow :)
Hello all! I got my acceptance packet in the mail on Friday, but am just getting around to posting. So excited! I've been busy trying to complete everything in the packet. Does anyone know what the office hours are for the nursing office? I've called several times and I keep getting voicemail. And when they say in the packet that they want everything in different folders, does that literally mean that you put your background check in one folder, fingerprints in another, urinalysis in another, etc.? It might just be me, but that sounds like alot of folders.
Hello everyone! I'm new to signing up for this page but have been stalking it for quite a while now and have gotten so much help from it! I got into Daytime and my score was a 200 exactly. However I have a few questions
1. Where can we get the skills kit? Everyone that I've talked to that has been through nursing school before has said that it should be in the packet. But I dont know if I'm missing pages or if the information just isnt in there because I can not find it. Is there a specific place we can go to or a website we can go to get one?
2. I'm very confused about the July 25 deadline for the background confirmation page and the Lab Corp chain of custody form. I've read around trying to find the answer on here but have gotten a lot of mixed answers. On the packet it says August 8 and July 25 at the same time. Do we have to turn those forms into the nursing office on Friday or do our forms just have to have a date printed on them before July 25?
3. Also, I've been having trouble with the PPD and Hepatitis B vaccination. I've already gotten my titers done and am just waiting for my physical and TDAP. Unfortunately the clinic I went to get all this stuff done doesnt provide the Tuberculosis screening or the Hep B shot. I guess I'll be going to Carespot to do the PPD (unfortunately they dont accept insurance so there goes more money out of pocket). My question is, can I sign the declination form for the Hep B just to get them in by the deadline and then just get the Hep B shot later after August 8?

Congratulations! ! You may want to join the class on Facebook where there are answers to all of these questions already posted. Send a request and the admin will add you. So exciting....
Also, is the drug screening just a urine sample? Does anyone know how long it'll take? And how will they know that we've already paid for it online? I'm sorry if it seems like stupid questions, I just dont want to get there and have them try to tell me that I still have to pay when I've already paid the $26.00 online

You will get an email from the company with an authorization code. Print that out and take it with you to one of the Lab Corp locations listed. You can walk in or make an appointment. I walked in, handed them my drivers licence and the paper with the authorization and they did everything else. After the testing they will give you a chain of command form to put with the paperwork that you turn into the office with forms that go to Taryn Lee.
