Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.
Lenient, who was your intake worker, I heard it depends on the intake worker. If you make over 25.00 but don't work 40 hours a week I wonder if they take that into consideration
It's not up to your intake person per say. It's up to them to make sure you have all of the correct paperwork and proof turned in to prove your eligibility. I would Def try. You would think that would be full time. But not sure. Your intake person will depend on your home location. There is a careersource person at each of the campuses, you could ask.
Polos and khakis are worn for volunteer events and a couple things on campus like skills simulations and hospital orientations. The white uniforms are worn for skills simulations on campus and for clinical days. Some it depends on prof preference as well.
How often will we have skill simulations?
Thanks for the info, I'm going to inquire about it at the financial aid office. My situation is a bit odd. My husband is stationed at a base within 40miles of the school so the school considers me instate but I'm legally a Texas resident who lives in Georgia. If I don't get it no biggie, I still qualify for other grants.
We had one for techniques. We had to wear all whites. that one is to pass before going to the hospitals. If it is considered a clinical day towards clinical hours but you aren't going to the hospital, you are supposed to wear the polos and khakis. So far i've worn mine 3 times in the first semester.
The other simulation will be for health assessments, head to toe assessment, but no specific attire is required.

Probably not...I think the $25/hr rule is pretty firm. Most people making over that aren't going to be doing an ADN program where they will be taking a paycut.
