FSCJ Fall 2014 hopefuls

Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.

Yeah it really sucks not being able to have micro calculated in but maybe with all the changes and chemistry added it will lessen the people applying and help us

So I read in the new packet that the new deadline is August 1 for the Spring term. Is this correct or is it October 1? Thanks!

I believe it is October first, the new deadline doesn't go into effect untill next fall 2015

Okay thanks! That sounds about right since we haven't got letters back for Fall term yet. I will call and double check though because if so I need to take my hesi test ASAP.

I was hoping to apply for summer2015 term. I'll be in micro in the fall(the new packet stated you must complete prereq with a grade before you apply)..classes end 12/12, but the summer deadline is Dec. 1.. anyone else run into this problem or know anyone?

Yes.. could you please let us know what you find out?... i just recieved updated packet and am now freaking out if we need to have everything done and applications sent in by Aug 1st when we still haven't recieved acceptance/denial letters

Hi someone created a thread for fall 2015-2016. They posted an email they received and it listed the same deadline application dates (October 1^st and February 1^st) for 2014-2015. It shows the earlier deadline dates(April 1^st, August 1^st and December 1^st) does not take effect until fall of 2015. But I am waiting on a response from the nursing office to confirm this. Hopefully that is still the case. There is no way I will have my spring application ready by August 1st with all these new changes.

1) you can be enrolled in micro in fall and apply for spring 2015

I don't think there is a new official packet out yet for the spring. I talked to both Cheryl James and the dean of the nursing dept. Dr. Neil Hennings and they both said the packet isn't ready, but that they would send a copy when it is, via mail and email. I wouldn't stress about figuring out a score that we don't have the means to figure them out yet...
