Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.
You will just need 3 credit of chemistry without a lab..chm1020 or higher. It says it on the packet so the chem you took at sjrcc should be fine.
Okay. I just wasn't sure if they were going to try to clump it into 4 credit hours since I do have a lab credit as well. But it was basic Chemistry so I am assuming they won't. I hate how all the schools seem to be different. And the counselors always either confuse me or make me just about have an anxiety attack.
can someone explain to me how to calculate my score with the new point system? I can not figure out what i am doing wrong. I have not taken the hesi yet but my grades are:
A&P 1 C X (2POINTS)
A&P2 A X (4 POINTS)
MCB A X (4POINTS)
HUM A X (4POINTS)
STA A X (4POINTS)
DEP A X (4POINS)
PSY C X (2POINTS)
ENC A X(4POINTS)
CHM BX (3 POINTS)
Can someone please send me the new packet as well [email protected] and Beatrice can you also send me the study guide, with these high scores I might be taking the HESI and reapplying myself…..Thanks …..
I would like a copy of the new packet as well if you don't mind, please someone forward it to me! Thanks! [email protected]
Well I used the packet you sent me. And I assumed that it's 120 total points for each section (the prerequisites and the HESI). So, I followed their equations and just added all the points. That's 194/240. Or I did it completely wrong. If so, tell me how and I will definitely recalculate it.
Do you have all 9 courses?
I'm sorry! I actually misunderstood the HESI calculation. I was wondering why it was so high. I actually have a 178.5 with that correction. Does that sound about right or am I still doing it wrong possibly?
I have about a 177 so that seems about right! I have all a and b and then 72, 84, 84, 96 percent on the sections of hesi! Is that about what you have?
My score right now is 109.5 so I am hoping that when I take the hesi, my average of the 4 sections turn out to be 90 which will put my total score at 199.5. Even better, I hope I make it into the fall with my 178.96 but I highly doubt it because there are so many people that have close to 200 or over 200
