FSCJ Fall 2014 hopefuls

Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.

i saw on the new packet (not sure if it was on the old packet) but it says one of the requirements you have to have after getting accepted into the program is advanced life support certification. Are we going to have to get that if we get accepeted into the fall? and if we do are we only going to have a few weeks to do it?

Yes, STA2023 is higher than college algebra.
oh thank god, yeah the more i read the packet I ended up seeing that. Now I will just have to take the hesi if i dont get in this fall. I am soo over waiting

Also is the spring 2015 application deadline August 1st or October 1st? The packet says August 1st which is making me nervous

i think that the application period begins on August 1st and ends on October 1st. I will be going to the nursing dept. on Wednesday to speak someone to get clarifications. I will let you all know what i find out.

It doesn't look like they updated the 2014-2015 online catalog yet. It's still showing a 3 credit chem class and NAT as requirements, I don't really see any difference from what was before. Where can we find it if it's not online yet?

When I took HAP1 it was a 3 credit course including lab and now my transcript says I'm short a Natural Science credit because of it. Under my programs of study in Connections I have listed the AS Nursing and BSN as well as my AA degree which I got in May 2014. When I look at my transcript for the BSN it says that 1 missing credit was waived. I know I applied for the AS so why would it still be showing I'm missing the credit there but waived for the BSN program. When I sent in my packet I put an extra page on it stating that but its still missing, should I be concerned or just wait it out? I've email Ms. James about it but still haven't heard from her.

I dont know what I have for spring 2015. I haven't taken the hesi.
