FSCJ Fall 2014 hopefuls

Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.

All i ask is could you all calculate your scores and either post them or email me them? I just wanna see where i stand! In respond I'll send you my score!

Thanks for sending it! I knew they were working on it and I hadn't received it yet. So we take our overall score from the HESI and multiply by 1.2? And we take each class score and multiple each one by 1.2 then add them altogether? I will try to calculate my score tonight and see where I stand and I'll post it. I know my overall score for the HESI was 84% so I wasn't sure if that was good or not. But I'm going to take it again before the cutoff.

You take certain classes and multiply them by either 1.5 or .5 and then you take 4 sections of the hesi divide by 4 and then multiply by 1.2 and add them. And okay, thank you

have they made a nursing packet for the spring 2015 yet. I just want to see if officially chemistry with a lab is a requirement. Trying to see if I would have to take chemistry with a lab in fall if I don't get into the nursing program this fall.

Thank you soo much! That makes me feel so much better. Now it says college algebra or higher math. Is statistics a higher math? (I know i was able to substitute it under the older catalog) I made a C in college algebra, an A in statistics, and a B in business calculus.

Yes, STA2023 is higher than college algebra.
