Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.
When I took HAP1 it was a 3 credit course including lab and now my transcript says I'm short a Natural Science credit because of it. Under my programs of study in Connections I have listed the AS Nursing and BSN as well as my AA degree which I got in May 2014. When I look at my transcript for the BSN it says that 1 missing credit was waived. I know I applied for the AS so why would it still be showing I'm missing the credit there but waived for the BSN program. When I sent in my packet I put an extra page on it stating that but its still missing, should I be concerned or just wait it out? I've email Ms. James about it but still haven't heard from her.
What is hap1
Youre welcome for the packet! Could you all please calculate your scores and post it? I would love to see where i stand!
Looks like I have a 194.7. But I will retake the HESI if I don't get in Fall because my scores are actually from when I had to take it for SJR State. They look at overall scores instead of certain percentages. My chemistry was also with a lab,but SJR doesn't clump their lab and lecture together as 4 credits so I will have to ask the Nursing Department if mine is acceptable since I have my AA Degree.
I looked online at the 2014/2015 calendar and it is showing CHM1020 -3credit hour( liberal arts chemistry) or any other college CHM. And still has the NAT as the entrance test. I don't see how they could have this posted and there be changes when it says spring applications are due by 8/1. So maybe we are all still safe with the NAT test and 3 credit hour CHM without lab if we don't get accepted for Fall.
hopefully not. I applied with 196 for fall. Now you are making me nervous. Was the hesi that hard? I haven't studied or anything nor have I reviewed any material. Thanks but someone just emailed it to me. In the discussions on here somewhere someone said we'll need a CHM w/lab. As for my Spring score I'll have to re-take the HESI my first score was pretty bad. For fall I applied with a 191.87 and I have a feeling the cut-off may be higher than that or I'm boarderline.

From what I have read here it seems like in the past the cut off has been around 183 or so. That is what I am praying for. I didn't do well on the NAT due to the math portion. I'm so horrible without a calculator that I panic.

How do you have a 194? Is that calculating for fall or with the new packet for spring with the hesi?
The application deadline for Spring 2015 should be October 1st. They said they will be accepting applications from August 1st -October 1st.
Hey Jaturner1994, can you or someone send a copy of the spring packet to me? My email is [email protected] Thanks
