Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.
I am curious about the chemistry too... because they are requiring the 3 credit hour chem but some people including myself have taken the 4 credit hour chem which would technically count according to the packet where is says the 3 credit hour chem or any other college level chemistry. So on the points system they are marking chem as a x3 but if we have a 4 credit hour chem on our transcript will they count it as x4 instead or still only give us x3? hmm food for thought.....I calculated my score based off of the new application with the hesi and I am sitting at a 201.3 or a 203.3 if they count my chem as x4 instead. just a 2 point difference nothing i'm going to freak over unless that is what makes me borderline getting in or not. I imagine the cut off scores will end up being different because some people will do better or worse on the HESI rather than the NAT. Different people are better as different test. Hopefully it wont be too huge of a margin thought cuz I would say I feel a little relief to have 201.3/240 points. But don't want to give myself false hope
*oops I calculated my score counting my micro which I'm taking this fall which wont count for spring... so I actually have a 177.3. wow what a big difference
but I plan on taking the HESI again and focusing hard on the science sections since I am guaranteed my 90% and 94% on my reading and math from this past test. Always room for improvement though!
Dang i thought that was high! I am taking micro in the fall as well, i also have a 177.something! Hopefully we both improve on the hesi! And so they do take the best from each time you take the hesi?
Can someone send me the new packet as well, and the study guide that was mentioned for the hesi?
thank you (:
I asked the FSNA (FSCJ Student Nurses Association) president about the orientation date for Fall 2014 (she's usually in the loop about these things). She was told it hasn't been confirmed yet. She'll let me know when she hears and if it's before you guys start getting your letter then I'll let you know.

Which clearly means if it hasn't been confirmed yet that means letters aren't coming today :-(. I feel like that also means they won't be coming tomorrow either.
I have about a 177 so that seems about right! I have all a and b and then 72, 84, 84, 96 percent on the sections of hesi! Is that about what you have?
I feel like mine should be a little bit lower than yours. I got a C in Anatomy II sadly, which has been hindering me a lot. I am going to print it out and look more closely at it, because I'm just on an iPad mini. But, yes I do have all the classes completed.

It is so stressful to think they aren't even sure of when the orientation will be taking place. They expect us to get so much done between those letters and the start date of classes, yet they seem to be waiting til the last minute. So much has to be put on hold until they send those letters.
Yea but I've been calculating different scores for the HESI and I'd have to do extremely better to get anywhere near 189not having the micro and having two Cs is really dragging me down.
Yeah it really sucks not being able to have micro calculated in but maybe with all the changes and chemistry added it will lessen the people applying and help us
Can I please get a copy of the study guide and the new application packet? [email protected]
Thanks in advance!!!
Hey!! Im getting nervous about the letters and starting to doubt myself -- I think I need to start getting prepared, ecspecially with all these changes happening! Can someone please send me the study guide and new application packet?
I would really appreciate it!! Thanks!
Goodluck as we wait..
