FSCJ Fall 2014 hopefuls

Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.

They both only mentioned the deadline dates that you guys have mentioned, the class switch between sociology and chem and then the Hesi not NAT. But the scoring and everything else is to be decided.

Hi someone created a thread for fall 2015-2016. They posted an email they received and it listed the same deadline application dates (October 1st and February 1st) for 2014-2015. It shows the earlier deadline dates(April 1st, August 1st and December 1st) does not take effect until fall of 2015. But I am waiting on a response from the nursing office to confirm this. Hopefully that is still the case. There is no way I will have my spring application ready by August 1st with all these new changes.

Okay thanks! That sounds about right since we haven't got letters back for Fall term yet. I will call and double check though because if so I need to take my hesi test ASAP.

Please let me know too when u find out.

I don't think there is a new official packet out yet for the spring. I talked to both Cheryl James and the dean of the nursing dept. Dr. Neil Hennings and they both said the packet isn't ready, but that they would send a copy when it is, via mail and email. I wouldn't stress about figuring out a score that we don't have the means to figure them out yet...

The new packet is out.

I notice that on the new application, advanced life support is required. So I wonder if it would be best to get my that instead of renewing my bls cpr card.

1) you can be enrolled in micro in fall and apply for spring 2015

2) the deadline is august 1- October 1

So has the deadline been officially stated as October 1st.1st

Ya I saw that too..but if I read correctly it said something like after acceptance into the program or something. Did it say it on the fall 2014 application or just the spring 2015 application

I called and can never get an answer so I left a message and talked to admissions. Admissions said that it is correct and spring deadline is August 1st. That doesn't make sense to me to drop 95 dollars before I even know if I was accepted into fall term.

Gosh darn it. Now I have going to have to take the hesit test b4 August 1st and b4 I found out if I got into the fall. I dont want to waste 95 dollars

That can't be right. Ms James emailed me not too long ago and said the spring 2015 deadline is October 1st. When I get on my computer I will pull the email up and copy and paste it on here. I really hope they did not change it that fast. That is so inconsiderate of them if they did. Ugh
