Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.
Has anyone recieved the updated catalog or the nursing application for Spring 2015? I know it is changing from the NAT to the Hesi A2, as well as the point system! If anyone has please email me at [email protected] thank you so much!
Jaturner1994,
You can find the August 2014-August 2015 catalog info on the FSCJ website. Cheryl James is supposed to call me next week to let me know of any changes for Spring 2015. Right now she says she is not sure. She is waiting on the Dean to return Monday. I will keep you posted if I hear back from her.
Hi Beatrice91,
Can I please get a copy of the HESI review? I will greatly appreciate it..
My email address is [email protected]. Thanks so much
whoever asked if statistics could replace college algebra. I do not know. I know for the old catalog it did but I am not sure with the new catalog. Ugh I hope not because I made an A in stat, a b in business cal and a c in college algebra. I am already upset about them changing the test. It sounds harder at least for those who did well on the NAT.
Can anyone please let me know when you receive your letter weather accept or denial so I can start looking out for it in the mailbox. I have not heard anything yet but I see that last year they sent out the letters the week of July 4th but I do not know when they will go out this year. I have been praying for a positive outcome but preparing for the worse. I have been studying my HESI book like crazy because I am going to keep trying because this is something I want. I know it's not easy to get a denial letter because I have received 2 in the past. But we will see. Good luck everyone and hopefully we will hear something soon.

Hello, all! Does anyone happen to know if they ONLY count Algebra? Or would they count Statistics (since it is a higher math) instead? The same goes for Humanities. I had a the worst professor, and I ended up making a C in his course (I know, right? How does someone make a C in Humanities? That guy was horrible), however I took an Art History class and received a B, and it is considered a Humanities course. Does anyone know if they'd count those courses instead since I made better grades in them? It would increase my overall points by quite a bit so I figured it's worth asking about! Also, I read that Fall 2013 hopefuls got their acceptance letters starting on July 3 of last year (in a big, white envelope), and that is today for us! Hoping to get something soon...
