Okay here we are!!!!!!

What about if we just register for 4 random classes that we can drop before we register our nursing classes, I wonder if we would get a book voucher, we can get the books, then drop those classes and register our nursing classes after orientation?

Sounds feasible, not sure though. You may want to call. I'm just going to hang out after orientation, go over any material they give us, absorb the day, and create flashcards on laptop for the dosage calc and med term test until I can register for term I and go get the books.

i just came back from north campus to turn in my paperwork (yay!). i spoke to cj while i was there and she said that n/w is still scheduled to be at deerwood this term. of course she put in the disclaimer that this can change because she doesn't make the decision of where it is...of course all i heard was "deerwood" :)

so i figured, while i was there, i'd give my credit card a workout. i bought the box of books, the e-book, and the iclicker...$807, and some nervous laughing later, i left with my oh-so-heavy box-o'-books, and i will promptly freeze my credit card in a block of ice until i need to register for classes

nice!!! it's going to be at deerwood :nurse:

i was on amazon earlier buying something non-school related. i looked up the rnotes: nurse's clinical pocket guide. i know we don't need it until we start clinicals, but i went ahead and bought it. i'm curious to look through it. i signed up for amazon student. not only do you get free shipping, but it's free 2-day shipping!!! i think that's pretty sweet. i looked up some of the other reference books that don't come in the box, but i just decided to wait. if i buy them now, the list will change or they'll say we need a different edition or something. no harm in waiting now.....free 2-day shipping!!!!!! :yeah:

Does anyone know if the Deerwood campus will also have the box for sale?

Where did you guys go to get a flu shot?

Not sure. You could call them. If they don't stock it there, they can probably have it brought over for you.

Where did you guys go to get a flu shot?

we don't need a flu shot yet. most places won't have them until september.

Where did you guys go to get a flu shot?

Per Ms. P, we for sure do not need to get the flu shot. That was supposed to be taken out of the paperwork because the shot that is out now is outdated. It will not protect us from the strains that will be going around this fall. We will probably be required to get one this fall, however.

hey everyone,

is anyone else trying to get worksource? I have a meeting on the 23rd. I'm really nervous. She told me I qualify over the phone, but I don't know if I'll find out for sure on the 23rd or not. I really want to get all of my books and stuff. All I have so far is 75% bright futures, but that's not even enough for tuition =/

Did you message Butterflymom? Did you ask her if she found out the same day of her meeting? I don't think she would have told you that you qualify if you don't without putting in some kind of disclaimer. They're usually so cautious not to tell you anything for sure, so you can't say they told you something wrong.

So where else is everyone looking besides Amazon to buy the 6 extra books needed for term 1? I'm trying to price shop but don't know many websites to look on.

I am very frustrated with FSCJ right now. After sitting at Kent Campus(for an hour with ALL six of my girls) I was told, I can "up" my loan online and get my unsubsidized loan.....I come home and look-up and guess what? I have to go right back up to Kent campus and sit again and turn in my appeal form? Appeal form on unsubsidized loan?? I am so sick of dealing with this mess.....

Just keep telling yourself you will be a nurse in the end! :) I have to do that EVERY DAY dealing with FSCJ. It doesn't get better dealing with the nursing department unfortunately... BUT we will do it for 16 months and then we will be NURSES. :) Hang in there!!
