Okay here we are!!!!!!

So, I had some negative titers, and received the boosters. Is that enough for now, or how long before I have to do the titers again? Are these questions for the school?

I talked to the nurse and she said get the titers 30 days after you get the booster. I got a booster yesterday, go back in 30 days for the second booster, and then 30 days from that get another titers done. ugh, those titers were expensive :(

How do I edit my fafsa? I went to fafsa.gov and I tried to edit but that isn't a question....only do I want student loans? And I had yes.

Im just wondering about the dosage test on the first day... was there an email sent out with any info on this test?? If so could anyone be so kind to forward this info....thanks

There was no email. Previous terms provided info about it on their threads. There is going to be a lecture, reading assignment, etc. given at orientation. It's also going to be on medical terminology, basically stuff we should be familiar with from A&P. As long as we prepare, it's supposed to be fairly easy.

It is VERY easy. The powerpoints are very clear and to the point and really all you need to study. The book is nice to have extra practice, but the nursing tutor has extra practice too and after the first dosage calc test I never picked up the book again. I think most of us agreed that we over stressed/obsessed/studied for the tests on the first day. I left feeling so relieved and a bit silly for over thinking it so much. I promise you will be just fine!! :)

Got my Meridy's order today, my scrub tops fit perfectly, but not very flattering. I'll still wear them with pride though;)

I got my order from florida specialty. Fits perfect. They didn't put my apt # on the package so I had to drive all the way to the ups shipping center to pick it up. Took over an hour but I got it. Still waiting for my Meridy's order.

Hi everyone, I met many of you at the meet and greet but this is my first time posting.

FYI the box of books is available at the book store, with tax it comes to $666. I know what a horrible number, anyway they give you a list of the books not in there but the isbn are not on this list. :clown: If you chose not to buy the ebox, make sure you keep your receipt, in case you change your mind, they use it as verification that you bought the box of books.

I found apps for RNotes, Taber and Davis Drug guide for the I touch. Tabers and Drug guide are $49 and the RNotes is $29.

Butterflymom I was wondering if you bought the books or the downloads or both. I would love to have less books to carry but wonder if I will need them.

Also, if you have financial aid, I was told today the book allowances will NOT be available until after you register for your classes.

Hope you all are having as much fun as I am but hope you all are alot less stressed than I am. :nurse:

How is that going to work, will we have to register our classes the day of orientation and then wait for our book vouchers to post before we get our books? This is so frustrating.

So does anyone know if your doctor ha to sign the titer part of the physical? I got my blood drawn over 2 weeks ago and they FINAlLLY got the results back today, talk about cuttin it close! But I have a feeling I'm going to have to wait another day for them to sign that part, ya know. It only says you need a copy of the actual lab report in the nursing packet, so I don't know?

Does anyone know if we can use a Blackberry in class? I know the iTouch has been mentioned before but if I don't have to buy a new gadget, I'd be pretty happy about that right now.
