NJ22 that would be frustrating

Hi Tweety

Stars glad you're feeling better and that he has a plan to get back on the Librium

Ado glad you were able to tour Boston a bit during the convention

Woke up late last night with a headache, hasn't happened in months.  Took some Tylenol and went back to bed.  Had a slight headache yesterday too

Could be stress, related to finally setting a date for the colonoscopy.  Or could be dad's continuing apartment search.  He's applying for another place, farther away than he'd like.  Hope he gets it.  His lease is up at the end of the month, he might have to put stuff in storage and stay in a long term hotel until he  does find a place

Work was fairly good yesterday.   Thinking it will likely be the same today

After work was busy, grocery shopping at 2 different stores then stopped at the pharmacy for the bowel prep.  Hoping  that now all the colonoscopy preparations  are done I'll be less nervous.   Then we had the vestry meeting, which was thankfully shorter than expected

Might see J tonight, although he has a visit from a doctor today for an insurance policy, he said the anxiety might upset his stomach so I'm going to wait and see

Going to be warmer today, in the mid 80s again.   Will need to use AC.  Have been  keeping the windows closed which has helped my allergies

Good morning!

Joe, I hope your headache did NOT return!  And, I hope your dad finds what he wants (closer, not farther).  Sounds like he has a plan, though, if there is no adequate place upcoming.

Tweety, are you working today or off?  How are the dogs?  Any more upchucking?

With the new Magic Pass system at Disneyland, -- and with the most inexpensive of the passes, BTW -- we can reserve up to two days at the parks.  Other, more expensive passes allow for more reservations at a time.  So, we reserved this past Tuesday and also yesterday.  We had a very good time, walked over 10K steps, over 3.5 miles each day.  Had some treats, listened to music, people-watched (we met another couple dressed dapper as well!!), enjoyed the decorations and landscaping.  Dh discovered jambalaya at one of the New Orleans square restaurants, and loved it!  Yesterday we visited with two musicians we hadn't seen for two years!  They remembered us too!  It was good to catch up.  The weather was very nice, low 80's with breezes.  In the Grand Californian Hotel, I bought some "zombie gingerbread men."  As I recall, their gingerbread men are DELICIOUS!!  We stopped by the Love Pop store in Downtown Disney, and bought a few specialty cards (the middle of the card pops up with intricate designs) to mail out.

So, today is "recovery day," from the parks!

No Stars, I have been following the dh saga.  Tweety did put it into perspective, yes.  It's hard, though, to distance oneself from the problem, while an emotional attachment to the person is present.  Easier done in a clinical setting, rather than in a home setting.  But, you know what needs to be done, to preserve YOUR sanity!

Ado, had to giggle with your description of the conversation!

nursej22, pacemaker is OK?  OCD staff member -- oh my goodness!!  I'm sure it's mostly nerves for her upcoming presentation (packing up and moving offices didn't help, though!).

Have a good day!

I just returned from wound check. Everything is a-OK. The office nurse seemed to think there were more activity restrictions on the discharge sheet than really were. She tried to say I needed to avoid golfing, jerking movements , swimming and tub baths, but none of those were listed. It bugs me a little when office staff tries to tell you what your dc instructions are when they obviously didn’t read them. Anyway , I start a new medication Tuesday and have to go in for EKGs for the next 3 days, and then a cardioversion on 10/5.
That sounds like a fun day at Disneyland, Dianah. I love New Orleans style food!
Yes Joe, I hope your headache is long gone.
I am meeting youngest ds at the new brewery in our little town after work tonight. The weather looks perfect, clear and mild.
wishing good thoughts to No Stars.

Hi Annie. I hope your foot woes subside quickly.

The fun continues. I have a cold. Don't think I have had a cold since before Covid. Guess I should have worn a mask on the plane.

The guys bought food and are cooking. I'm ready for a weekend. Still need to get some things together for the Med Staff meeting Monday.

Ado, were masks worn on the flight?  Just curious.  Hope your cold doesn't last long, they can be miserable.

nursej22, enjoy tonight's outing!

I think masks are still required on Canadian flights.  I read a Tweet from someone that said on the American leg of his Canada to US flight almost no one wore masks on the American side.

Best friend once got pneumonia after one of our long flights pre-covid.  Once on a flight to Asia I sat next to an obviously ill woman for 12 hours.  I'm undecided if I'll wear a mask next time I travel or not.

Dianah, sounds like a nice day.

Ado, get well soon.

J22, best of luck with the new medication.

Joe, hope things that are stressing you ease up some.

Stars, I wish I could be positive with the "I'll quit tomorrow" routine from your husband but I can't.  But who knows.  As always though I wish and your family the best and am thinking of you.

I am off today.   Went to the gym and meal prepped for the weekend.  Now having some downtime before bed.  We're having a heavy down pour as I type.  Almost a daily event this time of year.  Good for our water supply but bad for me having to mow more often.  LOL

I wore a mask on my latest flight to and from Las Vegas mostly because I didn’t want COVID screwing up my pacer upgrade. It was about 50/50 on the flight.

Very few people on my flights or in the airports were wearing masks. I'd like to say I gave in to peer pressure but I think it was just laziness. I had meant to wash my Snoopy mask before the trip but forgot. Had my hands full with luggage and while I did have that mask with me it had some makeup on it and I just didn't want to deal with it.

The guys cooked some chicken breasts with spaghetti and their own version of lemony sauce. It was really quite tasty. Then we watched a Japanese manga film they had found. It was fun. Something about Lupin and the Count of Cagliostro.

I finished another Harry Potter book last night. Got Harry through his 5th year at Hogwarts. Now I'll start this month's book club selection. It is called These Silent Woods.

No judgment here, Ado, just curious what is going on in The World Of Those Who Fly. 🙂

Sounds like a yummy dinner (and you didn't have to cook!), and it's ALWAYS good to read a book!

Midnight at the old ages,  the Nannie person's gone to bed....(apologies to Maria Muldaur)

Braves were behind until the 8th inning, and then we whomped 'em 7-2 or something good like that.

Fairly blah day; hubby did drink as I knew he would. He started getting pretty staggering around 8:30pm and I told him to be particularly careful going up and down stairs, I saw him lean against the railing and was worried that some day with that motion, it might crash through. Don't want to 'buy' trouble by thinking about it, but I did catch my breath when I saw it 'give' just the tiny, slightest bit.

Nannie's slippers (b'day present) came in the mail today, purple fuzzies with no-slip soles. She said they seemed like they might be a little small or short, So I whipped off her socks, and holy smokes her toenails were gargantuan long and even tall with that grody fungal growth. I am calling a podiatrist first thing on Monday. When we first came here I offered to do her toenails, because, after all, I had worked with a Podiatrist once. She was so anticipitory about the thought of the possibility of pain, she draw her foot back and squeal before anything had begun!

Treated myself to two books today, and a few 'ethnic' food packets to try. Put some Birthday money from my sister, in the bank, and decided I would completely pay off my credit card, AND get a new pair of eyeglasses. She suggested going to some respite place, but It would actually cost more than she sent me. Believe me, the peace-of-mind that paying off the credit card will bring me a great bit of relief! And I REALLY NEED NEW eyeglasses. These are 7 years old and ppfftt!

All for now!

Don't know how or why that number 3 appeared at the end of my post. Just telling you that you can ignore it and not try to figure it out!
