Fresno State Nursing (BSN) Fall 2018

Updated:   Published

Hey everyone!

I didn't see any forums for Fresno State Fall 2018 and so I decided to create one myself.

I applied for Fresno State's program as a transfer for the upcoming fall semester.

Here are my stats:

Prereqs: All A's except one B (chem)

TEAS: 82%

Volunteer hours and some scribing hours

Anyone else applied and know when they will be getting back to us? Has anyone heard about last year's admissions? Thanks in advance!

Has anyone heard back yet? Or know when we will hear back? I'm so anxious agh!

I received an email about a month ago that they received my application. Then I got another email 3 days ago that said they're sending my application to someone in the nursing program for further review. Did you also receive those?

An email from the nursing program? I never got one. Do we get an email from our fresno state gmail? I've never heard back from them since I filled out the NursingCAS application in February.

No I didn't, did they ever tell you what it was regarding?

Same! Nothing

@klow7 It might be that I'm applying as a post baccalaureate. Not entirely sure.

Hi DAbuS2020,

I have a question on what prereqs you took at Clovis Community because I'm struggling to decide whether to take human anatomy & phys with Chooljian (who I've heard is very difficult) or to just take anatomy and physiology classes at maybe FCC or Clovis. If you took anatomy and phys at Clovis, who were your professors and how were they? Thanks!

Has anyone heard from their admission yet? When will they decide their admission? I think I haven't heard from Fresno since March!

I recently called them last Wednesday and the person that picked up said that emails were to be sent out during mid-May or first week of June!

I took Anatomy and Physiology at Clovis. I had Dr. Hile for Anatomy and Dr. Fallon for Physiology. Both simple teachers who aren't easy to please and very hard to fail their classes. I have a friend in my cohort that HIGHLY recommends Chooljian. Even though they are very hard, she said she was over prepared for pathophysiology and made this semester much easier for her.

@DAbuS2020 I wanted to know your opinion on my chances of getting into Fresno's nursing program! I have all A's in my pre-req courses but one B and that was in Anatomy and Physiology II. I also got an 82% on my first TEAS test. I have friends in the previous nursing cohorts that have said they've done worse than me and got in. I'm also not from the area so would that affect my chances of getting in? Currently I'm waitlisted for another college but Fresno is my number one choice!
