Hey everyone!
I didn't see any forums for Fresno State Fall 2018 and so I decided to create one myself.
I applied for Fresno State's program as a transfer for the upcoming fall semester.
Here are my stats:
Prereqs: All A's except one B (chem)
TEAS: 82%
Volunteer hours and some scribing hours
Anyone else applied and know when they will be getting back to us? Has anyone heard about last year's admissions? Thanks in advance!
Does anyone have a 2.5 year schedule (with all the requirements, classes, clinical sites, etc.) for this nursing program? The only schedule/roadmap online that I can find is 3 years long.
I am currently on the 2.5 year schedule, but I only know the classes for my current semester and next.
I'm so sorry, I misread what you had said. I thought you said "for the school of nursing" not "to the school of nursing". No, if sent to the university, they already have them. However, if you're taking classes outside of Fresno State, I am pretty sure you will have to submit transcripts with grades for this semester.Sorry about that!
Hello!
So if I already sent official transcripts from each schools attended (not Fresno State) to Fresno State University, then I don't have to send official transcripts to the Nursing Admissions Office? I am a little confused because I couldn't find information on NursingCAS on submitting official transcripts to the school of nursing for Fresno State.

No, the officials are sent to the university. The school of nursing will be able to access them .
DabuS2020, Do you think that E-texts are a good option for nursing school? Do the instructors allow ipads for note taking and E-texts in leui of real books in class? I know some professors that have a "no electronics" rule.
None of the professors this semester have a problem with e-text; so it is all personal preference. Almost everyone in classes have a tablet or laptop for note-taking. They are not strict at all :)
For myself, I prefer hard text just because looking at a screen reading for a while hurts my eyes, but they do help you save quite a bit of money, so if you don't have a problem reading screens for hours, save your money!
@DAbuS2020Were you a part of the phase process as well and if you were, do you mind telling me how that works?
Also do you happen to know the acceptance rates of those placed on the alternatives list? Thank you!
My cohort did not have a phase process, so I have no knowledge to share about it besides what I have heard.
In regards to alternatives, in my cohort there was one alternative accepted, but in previous cohorts I have heard of multiple being accepted.
Sorry I couldn't be more help!
