  1. Do you mind me asking which hospital it is? And congratulations! ?
  2. Don’t feel discouraged or disheartened! Where have you applied? Are you looking only at NorCal hospitals or anywhere in California? Do you have any healthcare experience?
  3. Hello! Like the other posts say, you are not alone! Northern California is extremely saturated and very hard to get in as a new grad. I got my license back in July and got some offers in the Central Valley (although they were on the lower pay end) and I declined. I started working as a RN Immunizer (administering vaccines) and after almost 6 months I finally got a job offer about 30-40 mins north of Sac. It was actually only after I vamped up my cover letter and resume that I feel like I got job offers both in NorCal and SoCal My suggestion is to try out smaller hospitals outside of dignity, Kaiser, and sutter because those places usually want experience. We can always talk more about it!
  4. I am also a transfer student and will most likely be taking the same class with the same professor because the other one is full. I haven't been able to register yet, do you know why? I thought it was because I was a transfer student but if you were able to, wouldn't I be able to too?
  5. I don't know but since I lie far away, I am interesting in housing with another nursing student near Stanislaus if anyone is interested.
  6. Do you mind sharing your stats?
  7. Did you just get the email right now or earlier in the day?
  8. I actually got a call last Thursday and they said there was a spot but I'm waiting for Fresno State.
  9. I was 11th at the other university!
  10. I still haven't gotten my email for Fresno so I'm very nervous! But I know how you feel being on the waitlist. I was on the alternative list for another University however I knew the exact alternative number I was there.
  11. I think some universities take in to account whether the applicant is a student or not at the university sometimes in their acceptance/declination process that's why gnb007 was asking!
  12. How did you know you didn't get picked? Did they send you an email as well?
  13. I actually haven't received anything yet , I'm still waiting. I'll definitely update you
  14. If it's possible, what number on the alternatives list are you?
  15. @DAbuS2020 I wanted to know your opinion on my chances of getting into Fresno's nursing program! I have all A's in my pre-req courses but one B and that was in Anatomy and Physiology II. I also got an 82% on my first TEAS test. I have friends in the previous nursing cohorts that have said they've done worse than me and got in. I'm also not from the area so would that affect my chances of getting in? Currently I'm waitlisted for another college but Fresno is my number one choice!
