have a wonderful life! :wink2:
The day couldn't have gone any slower. After finally getting home to open my letter, I have have not been accepted but I still feel very blessed. I have been accepted to another accelerated program at a very competitive university in Indiana, which is pretty close to Chicago. Even though I have to get loans, I feel it is a great path for me. I will live there, and then move back to Chicago in my own place. I have always wanted to travel and have my eye on being a travel RN. So I think my permanant residence will be in Chicago and I will travel mostly throughout the year...maybe Hawaii, Cali, Seattle
? I really want to work in ICU, and with children would be perfect :) after 2 years in ICU...if I'm really feeling crazy, I will then take the GRE and apply to anesthesia speciality to be CRNA.
Aside from my little story, congrats to those who have been accepted. Anyone who didn't get accepted, I wish the best and never give up. I met a girl from the program who is such an incredible person, who I felt was beyond expectations of this program. I am at a loss for words that they failed to see how special she was, and it just makes me sad Good luck to everyone, and keep in touch.

Speaking of dining experiences:
I lived in London when I was 19 and I once went to this new restaurant that everyone was raving about. I'm sure you've all been to restaurants/cafes that promote an artist's work on the walls. Well, this business put a whole new spin of the concept. Its major point of fascination was the location of the bathroom- as some Bohemian's expression of "usable art." The bathroom was in the center of the restaurant and it was simply a small cube of one-way mirrored glass that when you went inside to do your business, you could see the entire restaurant- but no one could see you!
Weird!
I'm not sure if they have those in Chicago.
Maybe NYC...
:wink2:
wow never heard of that! In Chicago, they have bathrooms where you guys and girls can see each other walking towards the bathroom..like 2-way mirrors and things or something. They also have a new concept in clubs here...its liked shared bathrooms. The part of bathrooms where you wash your hands and check yourself in the mirror has become a new meeting place for people.

I got in!! and turned my paperwork around after lunch today. It looks like I'll be working for Northwest next year, which was my first choice.
For those that got accepted, I do believe that there's an error in the acceptance letter. It says to return the four forms in the packet, but there are only 3: the confirmation of acceptance, the confirmation on qualifications, and the affidavit for fingerprint card.
Keep the good news coming.....and to those that didn't get in, good luck on your applications at other schools.
