the 14-month accelerated partnership program
the accelerated partnership bsn program for college graduates is designed for students who have already completed a non-nursing baccalaureate who wish to pursue a career in nursing. this is a 14 month entry level professional nursing program that leads to a bachelor of science in nursing and eligibility to take the national rn licensure examination. the program is sponsored by tucson healthcare agency partners who pay a predetermined amount to cover all teaching costs associated with the program.
the partnership program is tuition free made possible through the university of arizona college of nursing's partnership with tucson healthcare agencies: carondelet healthcare network, tucson medical center, northwest medical center and university medical center. all students will enter into an employment commitment with their sponsor agreeing to work as an rn for three years following graduation. if the student fails to meet the commitment then the student will reimburse his/her sponsor in accordance with terms established in an agreement between the students and healthcare sponsor.

DM -
Don't sweat it...but keep in mind that my invitation letter was good until March 25th, meaning that the CON will know how many people have declined, and only then will begin to notify the waitlist folks one by one. So figure 3/28 or later....
The weird part is that UofA doesn't require a deposit on the program, so it's in everyone's best interest to accept, even if they are still waiting on other options to come to light. The result is that I bet there are a fair number of 11th hour declines, like late May/early June......but we shall see.
Giardiafan,
Yes thanks.. that is exactly what I was thinking.. All the other schools that I got accepted for wanted a deposit.. I just hope if people don't want it they do advise the school but I understand waiting to figure out the best option as I am doing the same thing... Keeping my fingers crossed.... :-)
Hi all! I didn't know this board was still active! I've been neglecting checking back on it.
I got a pm from chinook yesterday and decided to check back here. Congratulations to all that got in! To all those that didn't, persistence pays off! This was actually my THIRD time applying, and the only time I even got an interview! I was in disbelief when I got the acceptance letter!
The whole week leading up to the 14 (when I got my letter) my husband was the one checking the mail since he was home. I think he was more anxious than I was! I just had the attitude, "what happens, happens." We're military so this letter determined our futures. Looks like we'll be staying in Tucson for at least 4 more years!

congratulations.. You deserve it!!!!
Thanks dmskoka! Hopefully a slot opens up for you! Is UA your first choice?
I like the small campus at los angeles but not los angeles. I haven't seen Creighton yet. Yes Arizona is my first choice. I really like Tucson and people on line have been very friendly. Also tuition everywhere else that I was accepted is through the roof and jobs are next to impossible new nurse grad jobs where I live.. I am praying that I get into Arizona. It is really the only option that I want.. I think that is great that you were so peristant. I left my job to go to school and support myself . I can't wait another year so am really praying.
