I'm assuming there is no catch other than a service agreement between one of the health care agencies listed. Free nursing tuition is available all over the place, as long as you pledge a service agreement for a certian period of time. UofA is a state school so I'm sure it's all legit.

There is NO CATCH! Simply contact the University of Arizona for more details on your questions that are not on their website. This is a completely transparent, open and legitimate wonderful opportunity for those who pursue it and are qualified under this program.

On another note, I will not bother to reply to the comments posted here by one poster who has no idea what they are talking about but who looks a gift horse in the mouth and finds unwarranted fault. Your work schedule shifts and your responsibilities with the health care centers and with the hospitals who have been kind and good enough to be part of this wonderful opportunity will be worked out between you and your employer just as any nurse does with ANY and EVERY employer!

Personally, I would be delighted to receive a FREE BSN and help the poor and needy at a good hospital or medical center who has that mission and vision - that's is what true nursing is all about for ME!

This is not a new program, but again, you have to be accepted by the employer as well for a contract that lasts three years. And this is not something that many will even be willing to consider. Most are going to be interested in first offering this to their own employees first and this is exactly what has been done in the past. Just because it is posted, does not mean that all will get it. Als be aware that there are limits as to the number of students, there is never an unlimited number accepted to any of these programs. It is not going to work for all that apply for it.

Notice that it also requires that one already hold a Bachelor's degree in another field, and then they are also going to have to have completed all of the pre-reqs that are needed for this type of program.

So it is not as free as it seems.

accelerated partnership bsn program for college graduates began in june 2003.

by august of 2008, a total of 315 graduates from the partnership program will have a positive impact on the healthcare of the tucson community.

az area had a huge nursing shortage along with one of the fastest growing populations. this program helped put a lot of nursing graduates into the community with caveat of 3 year work committment or repay tuition. program is now being expanded to yuma.

This program IS COMPLETELY FREE for those who meet the requirements - as in ANY program!

That's all! This is a GREAT opportunity! Take it if you qualify!

It is amazing that some people make up negative statements when non are warranted! How sad!

You're reaction proves I'm right! I have PERSONALLY worked with several of these nurses so I know what I'm talking about. No need for me to make anything up.

Oh, and I am receiving my BSN for free-and with no comittment at all! It's called tuition reimbursement. I got my ADN for free too. When I"m done with my BSN I'll see how much of my MSN I'll get for free.

Again, with no comittment. No strings. Nobody in control of where I work, what shift I work, what hospital I work, what floor I work, etc, etc.

Nope, I am in control of me--and that's the way I like it.

Hey cardiac, how does your tuition reimbursement work? Who is paying for your program? I'm hoping to get into NAU this summer, and I guess I need to learn all I can about paying for school!
